I knew I would catch grief over that jig. There is a reasoning to it: Week before the roadtrip, I was tearing them up on 6'' junebug zoom lizards. Then Friday when I went, the bream were on the beds, and a lizard only lasted about 2 casts, before it was limbless and tailless. The color was still what I was wanting to throw, so out came the "junebug" jig. Well I started with a rage craw trailer, and have you know, bream love those claws too! So I switched to my top secret jig trailer, and the only 2 colors I had were sapphire blue and green pumpkin. So the blue got the call, AND THE JOB DONE, THANK YOU HATERS!!!!!!!!! LOL Jeff

I fish barefoot when the temps are above 70. When below, I wear tennis shoes, and below 60, I wear boots. If it happens to rain in between the 60-70 temps, I normally just wear my boots. Jeff

I actually broke 5lbs this morning. but still only 4 bass in 5.5 hrs of fishing.... Jeff

Tough fishing again today. 4 bass boated, lost one at the boat. 1 bass over 5 lbs(see fishing reports) and everything else under 2 lbs. Also caught 3 drum, 1 white bass and a gar. Jeff

Passed the 90 Bass mark with a fatty today. Caught on my hand tied jig, and my newish GLX with Chronarch combo. She went 5lb 1 oz Jeff

Going to the police auction tonight to solidify the purchase of the impounded Mata buses. Thanks for the idea and the laugh. Jeff

Nate....where the heck have you been? Good to see you back. I should have also mentioned the fish were holding SUPER tight to cover. We had much the same luck, except we didn't have 2 hours, it was more like 30 mins. Jeff

Honestly a little slow. This whole year has been dink city. Nothing to brag about that is for sure. I am approaching 100 bass for the year, and nothing over 5(not including minnows on the river). A little baffling. How about you? Jeff

I fished yesterday afternoon from about 2:15 till Dark +30. Best bite was right before dark and we caught 10 bass, nothing over 2.5lbs. What does strike me weird is that we caught, 1 gar, 1 grennel, 1 drum and 1 catfish as well. ALL ON JIGS!! Jeff

I caught a catfsh yesterday on a jig......but that doesn't help you. I have no clue about catfishing around here! Sorry man! Jeff

Also, as far as line choices stay away from mono. I prefer Flouro, but alot of people like braid! Fishing a jig is very addictive, and you will want a new setup eventually. I lean towards h/f , but for now just stick to throwing lighter jigs (less than 3/8 oz) and you will be OK. Jeff

He caught one at Guntersville that I swear was bigger than all 3 put together! Jeff
