Also down south we call the "grennel" Jeff
  3. I would suggest the DHC5-721SPM. It is a little heavier than the one I have but JFranco loves his! Jeff
  4. As apposed to that, find a reputable rod builder in your area. This is a MINOR fix! Will be cheaper than sending it in. Jeff
  5. Appears to me the tip wasn't seated all the way. I am in no way an expert, so I am sure some of the rod builders will chime in! I would have it repaired if it were me! Jeff
  6. Glad you father is doing better, and congrats on the new pb!! Jeff
  7. Congrats! Love the fact you have your dog with you as well! Jeff
  8. That was exactly my plan.......my backup was to fill it all with cheap backer, put on 3/4 oz weight and throw it as far as I could. Then peel off a couple arm lengths more, then fill with braid. That must be the redneck way huh? Jeff
  9. GLX is an awesome rod, but more for someone who has a variety of rods and wants to upgrade. You are establishing a base, and that requires more moderately price combos! Jeff
  10. I LOVE my "newish" Pinnacle Pefecta. I got the 70mlf and it rocks! Plus they are a site sponsor. Jeff
  11. Doesn't matter what she weighed! Beautiful! Jeff
  12. Casting: Shimano Chronach 200e7 with a St Croix avid 70mhf Spinning: Pinnacle Perfecta 70mlf with a SHimano Stradic ci4 Jeff
  13. Alright Eric! Glad to see you got everything worked out and hope it didn't cost you an arm AND a leg! Jeff
  14. Don't give up on the jigs! Jeff
  15. Thanks! I always thought those were for trolling, but guess they can work both ways huh? Dummy me! Jeff
  16. There was a thread a couple weeks ago about double hinged?? pliers that easily cut through hooks. Hearing you story makes me want to go buy some! Jeff
  17. Wish they made one with a line counter.....that way you could figure out easier how much you have used on a spool and then know if you can fill another spool or are gonna run short.... Jeff
  18. I normally split the tails, but have fished them both ways! Jeff
  19. Hang in there... I quit dipping again for the new year...it sucks but now I am good to go, I think! Jeff
  20. What kind of livewell is it? Also you can get the vanilla really cheap in Mexico! Jeff
  21. I have a 6'10''MH/F Cumara and have had IMX Loomis(which I sold) and now have GLX. While the Cumara is a good rod, and I use it frequently, it does not compare to my glx. I was NOT impressed with my IMX and sold it having only fished it 3 days. For the money($200-250) I would go with the cumara, but comparing it to a GLX is apples to oranges. Jeff
  22. Oh no Eric.....that sucks! Hope you get it fixed right for cheap, but remember, you almost always get what you pay for! Jeff

Man those things are nasty, but fight like a champ. We regularly catch them when spinner bait fishing! Jeff
