  1. OK, so I am totally revamping my Jig fishing because of my experience this weekend. Long story short, I am gonna set up one rod with flouro and still have one with braid. I fish all other bottom contact baits with my finger on the line(no braid), because that is the way my father taught me. LOL. My worm rod has a core50 on it which I can palm and have a finger on the line. With my jig rods, I use a curado 200e7 so that I purposely can not have a finger on the line because the first time with braid I about lost a finger tip. Now with the flouro, I think I want to have a finger on the line....... So my question(s): With your worm rod do you have a finger on the line? And if so what about your jig rod, if you use other than braid? This might lead to me selling a couple curado 200's and buying cores/chronarchs, so it is an important decision. Thanks for your help. Jeff

  10. I have a st croix legend elite 68mxf and it is a good setup for smaller weighted worms and "heavier" shakey heads. It is a little heavy for drifting minnows or trout fishing. If I had to do that one over again I would have gotten a m, but now that I have a Pinnacle 70mlf(which also fishes heavy, more like a m) I wouldn't buy anything else! I am a big avid fan, but consider the Pinnacle Perfecta!(also site sponsor) Jeff

  24. My ci4 is my favorite spinning reel I own. I don't think it is a microline version? I ordered it from TW. I have it spooled with 6 lb yo-zuri hybrid, and have reeled in 15lb+ carp/drum/catfish while on the river for smallies! If your lake is "very clear" I would opt for other line than braid. Flouro is the best in my opinion for ultra-clear water. I like Seagar Invisix Jeff **EDIT** Just checked and mine is a 2500. The microline is a 100 size reel, so mine is not the specific model you were asking about. But I LOVE mine.
  25. Fished Friday at Horseshoe lake in Arkansas from 2:30- dark:30. Nothing to speak of. Then went to my club lake in Arkansas today from dark:30- 2:30 with a total of 21 bass between the 2 of us biggest was around 3.5. Jeff
