  12. Wire leader and see what happens! Also on those circle hooks, a reel set will land fish more often than a hard jerk set in my experiences! Jeff

  17. I have a stradic and love it. But if I were looking right now I would check tw's 12 days sale and see if the daiwa spinning reels were still on sale. Something like a $300 plus reel for stradic money. Got good reviews too!! Jeff

  22. My rod is a 68mxf st croix legend elite paired with a shimano stradic 2500.......but I love RW's rod more....glx something or other paired with a shimano stella! He will chime in here sooner or later! Jeff
  23. I have both the 70mhf and the 70hf. I throw most of my jigs on the h/f, but NEVER throw a jig less than 1/2 oz on it! I also use the mh/f but I prefer the h/f even though most think it is overkill! Thats just me, and what makes the world go round! Jeff
  24. Try exposing the hook and them barely skin hooking the point, so it will be weedless again, but easier to get the hook to come out! Also, make sure there is no slack in your line when you set the hook. If there is a bunch of slack, then the swing of you hook set moves slack line and not the hook at all! Jeff
