I honestly don't think a leader is necessary, but some people like it. Many don't use a leader for visibility purposes, but for abrasion resistance, which is necessary in certain situations. A fluoro leader doesn't really sacrifice any sensitivity if attached to braid, so I think you will be alright there. If you are catching fish now with straight braid, why change?

Every aspect of the Bears defense is better than the Pats. With that said, I don't think defense really matters when playing the Pats. The way they destroyed the Jets last week is proof of that. I bet the Pats win, but only by two scores at most.

I like Coke Zero too, but those drinks taste nothing like the originals. I like Coke Zero and Diet Dr. Pepper too, but can't stand Diet Mountain Dew. It tastes nothing like the original. I like the throwback sodas they have now. They actually have real sugar now.

I use a Pro Qualifier in a 7.1:1 gear ratio. I like the higher ratio so I can reel slack in faster before setting the hook. It also helps if you make a bad cast and you want the jig to the boat/shore faster. I'm sure that any reel with a 6:1 or above would work just fine.

I would say it's completely normal. I used to be heavily involved with partying and cars. I have lost interest in those things, but that's part of maturing and growing up. It's your life and you should do whatever makes you happy. If playing baseball doesn't make you happy, don't do it.

I would have to disagree. Gamakatsu hooks are a lot better in my opinion. Trokars seem to lose their sharpness fairly quickly.

It happens to my friend at least once every time we shoot. He was in his stand with an 8 pointer about 20 yards from him and his gun jams. Talk about bad luck. Anyway, nice kill. I bet you can't wait to get back out there.

I agree. A lot of my old friends (I say old because I am not friends with them anymore) smoke weed every single day. I would go and hang out with them and all they would do was sit on a couch the whole day. Many of them were straight A students up until they started smoking and now they aren't even going to college. They all work at Outback Steakhouse and do the same things they did in high school, nothing. They will work there for the rest of their lives. Not nearly as detrimental as drunk driving, but it does have significant affects on people. Not too sure I agree with this one. I smoked my first joint Sept of 1963 my first year at Univ of Mich., didn't miss a day smoking weed for nearly 40 years ( lots of coke too ), my first lid cost me 7 bux...lol. Along that road I earned 2 degrees, built a very nice business, raised a family, stayed married to my first and only wife, and retired young enough to enjoy the fruits of my labor. Just about all my friends and family have similar stories and almost every last one is a Dr, Atty, CPA or business owner. In all fairness some I know did not turn out well. I drink very little now and do no drugs, not because it was bad but i just lost the desire. It affects everyone differently. I choose not to do it because I have seen what CAN happen first hand. Not saying it will, just don't want to take the risk. If you can do it without ill affects, then more power to you, but a lot of people can't.
