Do plastics float on Carolina rigs?
Will a fluorocarbon leader cause my finesse worm to sink on a Carolina rig? Do only floating/hand poured worms float? Roughly 8-12ft of water. 18-20in leader

Took my new shakin stick out today...
About two weeks ago I asked which Cumara spinning rod would be the best for shakyhead and about 85-90% of you said the 7'2'' Med Extra-fast. So, that's what I got. Took it to the lake this afternoon and was blown away. Perfect tip, excellent casting, and great backbone. Like all my other Cumaras sensitivity is superb. Can't wait to get to the big lake on Saturday...

Sunline or Tatsu
Flourocarbon dude.

Sunline or Tatsu
Vanish is where did it go?? ;D More like where did my lure go after that bream broke my vanish...

The best knot for leaders....
The Alberto is working fine, thanks.

Sunline or Tatsu
Deep-I have not tried Ultracast yet but had intended to. Glad you reminded me, it gets really good reviews. I actually would have tried it first instead of Sunline or Tatsu. I ended up ordering the Shooter Invisible Camo 8lb. Think I'll try the Ultracast in 15lb. on my T-rig.

The best knot for leaders....
Wow, nice knot guys. Broke my leader(8lb line) twice tightening down. The knot was fine, the line broke off 4 inches back. It's a little more meticulous than a uni/uni but stronger and smaller.

Sunline or Tatsu
That's exactly what I'll be using it for. 8lb. for Shakyhead and 15-20lb for jig/texas rig. Does Tatsu have more stretch than other FC's. I hate to keep harping on that but I missed alot of fish the other day because of that. I would estimate that I had 15-18 that I set the hook on only to have my rod tip behind my head and the line wrapped around my head.

Sunline or Tatsu
I love everything about Invizx except the stretch. I'm not getting good hooksets because of the stretch. I've tried most of the cheaper ones and they all had worse attributes then stretch. I haven't tried Abrazx though. Which is better Sunline or Tatsu? If Sunline, which one? Shooter? Shooter Metan Invisible Camo? Sniper? Another one?

Need new rod for Shimano Cl4
I just posted a week or two ago that I would be buying a 7'2" Cumara for shakyhead and asked the same question...fast or x-fast? 85-90% said to get the x-fast

The best knot for leaders....
What is the best knot to tie a flouro leader onto braid? If it's the uni to uni, what's the least amount of loops on each knot I can get away with. 15lb. flourocarbon to 50lb. braid Also, how long do you make your leader?

Non-existent Cumara???
Thanks Mike...I mean Dan lol. I'll let the retailer know.

power pro question
I have tied on a piece/pieces of lead that are 1/4 to 1/2oz heavier than anything I'll be throwing, chunked it as high and long as I could, and when it landed walked backwards ten or fifteen yards. If you still have line, you've got more than enough.

uses for Core 50
I just got two of them, one last week and one this week, on ebay. After seeing that post about the Core not handling light lures well I had to put them to the test. Dropping $610 on two reels that were limited to larger baits didn't sit well with me. This lure measures a whopping 1-3/4''x3/8" and weighs a little under 1/8. I tossed it this evening on my medium depth cranking rod with no difficulty. I could've probably changed out some brakes and made it even better.

Non-existent Cumara???
Yes, it could have been a printing error but the rod feels like an extra fast compared to my other Cumaras.

Non-existent Cumara???
I ordered a Cumara Reaction CUC69MH. On Shimano's website it says this rod is a medium heavy power, fast action. The retailer I ordered it from has the same specs for it yet this rod says it is an extra-fast action. The numbers are correct on the rod. It has CUC69MH on it as well as extra-fast action. According to the specs on the website this rod doesn't exist....????? Only I can get a rod shipped to me that they don't make...

general reel question i 'spose.
Dry bearings usually translate into premature wear but I assume too much lubricant has an effect on the function of the one way? It obviously works fine because that reel was the original 1993 Chronarch and is still very tight.
-
uses for Core 50
It holds twice the amount of 12# invizx needed but it's very small diameter line.
-
New Core50 brakes??
You might as well sell all your other reels now. That Core50 is a great reel. And I also start with 3 on & 3 off then work my way from there. It really is user-friendly. New flouro on it and didn't backlash a bit getting dialed in. After I settled on 3 on 3 off and started hammering on it I got a few but got that fixed. That thing is a rocket. Ordered number 2 and another Cumara this morning. The junkie has crack....I have Shimano

general reel question i 'spose.
I just sold my old Chronarch on ebay...I stripped, cleaned, and oiled it before I put it on there. I greased the anti-reverse bearing. Did I screw it up? I didn't notice any backplay.

New Core50 brakes??
- New Core50 brakes??
My new Core50 should be here tomorrow. Going to be using 12lb. Invizx to throw Bandit 2-300s and Lucky Craft B.D.S 1's. Are the brakes on it going to be favorable or should I try the others that come with it?- What Cumara for ShakyHead??
Thanks guys. Why do I say BCing sucks for shakyhead? Because I don't like it, hence the IMHO.- What Cumara for ShakyHead??
Sorry didn't think to include that. Definitly spinning for shakyhead. BCing sucks for that imho. - New Core50 brakes??
