Love the Carrot, but now I got an issue with it.
I don't have any issues with the finish on mine but I found that some reels, not all, rock on the reel seat.

Spinning Reel for Crucial
Very smart, much better the Stradic FI or the Tierra and up. I have a Symetre for sale, on line twisting they sucks. I have been using the Exceler 2000 and 2500 for salt water and they are OK. Stay away from cheapo Shimanos

Daiwa
I have to think about this one.....probably, Pixillas, TD-Z 103 Type R+, TD Ito and Steez 103.

Carrot Stix Warranty story
Very good news. Thanks for posting it

Revo
Lighter spool. Coated pinion and pawl = Less friction during the cast.
-
Okuma Problem?
That is not normal. Like RM said contact them, I had to use their warranty service and is excellent.

Airrus Puls-R Spinning Rod
I have a few Airrus rods including a Puls-R baitcaster, their quality and warranty are top, but they are a bit heavier than a similar on a different brand, say St Croix Avid or Gloomis IMX.

cork reel handles
You can also get it from this guy, may be even a couple of bucks cheaper, but like Robert said, that is the only way, the knobs shaft on the Revos handle is way thicker than in the Daiwas http://www.brooklynbillstackleshop.com/bassart/bassart.html

Thinking about some ceramic bearings...
I also agree with the other guys. I have TGs and ABEC 5 ceramics from Smoothdrag.com in my Daiwas. The only ones that I noticed any and very little difference were with my Pixys. TD-Zs, Alphas and Shimano Scorpion were exactly the same.

New Steez
Me too

Revo SX or Citica 200D
I have fish with the SX and STX, close very similar and I think is a good general reel......I refuse to use Shimano's b/c of the century outdated VBS .......and not, they are not Daiwas
-
Which Revo?
The Revo S is like to go back to the old Jurasic Shimano things. Sx and Stx are very similar, if it is on your budget to go with STX. If it not.....Daiwa HSTA.
-
Do you have a favorite "inexpensive" rod?
E-21 for me
-
HSTA vs. STX
I thought that both were very even,.....but I sold my STX
-
pitchin instead of flipping
I have the same rod......Queen of the heavy cover.
-
Lets talk High Speed reels....."burners"
Zillion........ or Revo if you fish righty.
-
g. loomis glx ?
Highly recommend.
-
How many rods to bring?
Same here
-
Japanese
The knobs on the JDM can be remove and the plastic spacers replace by same size ball bearings. I does make a big difference.
-
What about you?
Nope Hate VBS on any reel....Shimalo or other. Neutral. Revo ST & STX system. Love. Megaforce V, Z and specially Type R. If you are not on that list, you are out completely ;D

Supertuning
Do you have any ?

Need Help with Schematics

mono to braid knot?
It plays OK for me. Very good info, thanks. Impressed by diameter of the knot on a line-to-leader, which is my only complain with the uni-uni knot. I'll be trying that tool if I can find it
