  1. I've seen a lot of people using those angled forceps when dipping. It grabs and covers the eye and the hook when they dip.
  2. Wow, nice collection you have there!
  3. Congrats on your new boat, looks like it will fit in perfect for Lake O. Let us know how you do on your first trip .
  4. I ended up getting a Plano Softsider Fishouflage model 3375. It came with four 3750 boxes, and seven pockets, plus I bought a 3500 series box to store my terminal tackle in (stored it in the front little zippered part). My plastics got stored in the main front zipper and in one of the side pockets. I really liked how jigfisherman labeled his boxes so I stole err... borrowed his idea . Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. The bag is big enough for all of my stuff -- it even has a neat-o zippered part inside of the bag for my scent. Plus, it has that sweet camo look - who could resist!?
  5. P-Line CXX, XPS Fluoro, and Sufix Braid are the only 3 lines I use.
  6. Trying to figure out how I want to separate my cranks, jigs, spinnerbaits, etc. What kind of system do you guys use?
  7. Same here, I kill em on a shakey head. I use brush hogs more on a DS than I do a roboworm. Robos on a shakey are absolutely deadly during spawn time.
  8. Northstar - Various Jigs, Spinnerbaits Tackle Warehouse - Couple Cavitrons, 4 packs of berkley havoc lane's craw fatty(these were dang cheap!), some ragetail baits (toad, anaconda, thumper, lizard), bbz-1 baby shad (bluegill), weight stops
  9. No problem, good luck with finding the right ones . I would highly recommend the copper ones. Only disadvantage to the wide aviators is that I have to wear my hat kind of high because the top frame rests on my forehead. Good solution for prescription glasses wearers though.
  10. I have the cocoons in copper, amber, and yellow colors. They are very nicely made, and block out light very well, only light that comes in is from the bottom, but it doesn't bother me any. I would recommend the copper/amber colors for all-around usefulness. Also, don't forget to get the neoprene lanyard, in case you drop them in the water . As a matter of fact, depending on your glasses size, I have a pair of amber slim lines for sale if you're interested. I have upgraded to the aviators because I got new prescription glasses with wider frames.
  11. Worked fine for me, order in . Hopefully you got my email message, Chris .
  12. Nice fish. Try checking your local Walmart for trailer hooks, they have the strike king ones at mine. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Strike-King-Tour-Grad-Trailer-Hook-with-Keeper/17248208
  13. I never did any good when I was bank fishing at the clewiston area in the rim canal. I would suggest to try Pahokee, FL. If you look at the google map, you can see that there's actually access to the main lake from the shore .
  14. I don't. I live in Florida .
  15. I use a 7' M carbonlite with the micro guides - no complaints here. It is a very sensitive and very strong rod. I will tell you though that BPS does over-rate the weight load on this one though - it doesn't like to throw 5/8oz baits, even with the M being rated up to 5/8.
  16. Sweet! Ugly looking fish . Nice catch. Did you tie feathers on that back hook? Sure looks like it..
  17. There's definitely no debating that CF handles are better than the aluminum handles. I just don't see how their high price justifies such a minuscule weight difference--often times not the case. If it has bearings, it may be smoother, but it will be heavier. Again, I'm not discrediting CF handles, just my opinion.
  18. They used to be made by Pflueger, but I don't know who makes them now. They are fantastic reels, $80 is a steal!
  19. Other than CF handles looking really cool, they really don't offer much more functionality. You might have some people interested though, best of luck.
  20. BPS has very good customer service. My PQ was giving me problems a couple weeks ago. I took it in and the tech felt the reel and immediately could tell there was a problem. They replaced it right on the spot, no questions asked.
  21. Great job, and done right with top of the line components..!
  22. LOL. Nice one, at least Big O has a good sense of humor about it .
