  1. Phenomenal paint job! That looks great.
  2. That chatterbait is pretty cool. It's kind of like a finesse chatterbait!
  3. Nice fish. Sounds like you had a fun time. To get a strike from a bass on a spinnerbait, I reel it quickly just a few inches under the surface, and kind of hop it along. They just can't stand that.
  4. Bank fishing: 1 clear plastic tote with: -2 Cranks -2 Lipless Cranks -Assorted Plastics -1 Spinnerbait/Buzzbait/Whatever fits that's topwater. -Few Jigs 2-3 Rods (1 Line weighted (monofilament), 1 line non-weighted (fluorocarbon), 1 line braided for topwater) Fish net Towel 2 Pairs Pliers Scissors Scale Pretty much it.
  5. I'm almost too embarrassed to post mine. Dwight's fish looks like it ate 2 or 3 of mine, lol.
  6. Thanks . Yeah, she is very high strung. Definitely a lively dog. I think all dogs just have a different personality. Thanks. It's really too early to tell if the yellows have a brown nose, their face is a reddish color because they are newborns. I can tell that the chocolates do have brown noses though, just like their mom. They even have a small white patch under their belly, it's pretty cute.
  7. Here's a picture of her with the pups.
  8. Whew, was a very long night last night. My family mated our 2 year old AKC female chocolate lab Kahlua with an AKC male chocolate lab on March 17th. Kahlua just delivered 6 puppies last night. She had 2 female yellow labs, 3 female chocolate labs, and 1 male chocolate lab! She at first rejected the puppies, but she came around and is doing an excellent job with them now. They are so adorable!
  9. I'd give the carbonlite a look at and see how it feels in your hands. I have been using the new micro guided one, and have nothing but positive things to say about it. It's well worth the money.
  10. I catch a ton of stickbass and mossbass on a spinnerbait . You're not the only one, they're my most difficult lures to catch fish on. I absolutely love to fish them, but can't buy a bass bite on em. Even when its cloudy, with wind, and all of those other necessary spinnerbait additives, just no luck.
  11. Thanks Ted, just send that info over whenever you get a chance, no rush. Thanks Jig, I hope I learn a lot from him! I'm sure I will.
  12. Weird..I got the PM you sent me, so you should be getting an email now. If my email sends properly, there shouldn't be any need. Thanks for being helpful though .
  13. I figured something was wrong with your PMs. Thanks alot cadman, I appreciate it. I sent a couple PMs, is your box full? I'll try it again now.
  14. I guess I can understand in that situation. I just feel it's not in my power to choose if they die, just my opinion. I don't like the pickerel either, but I don't go killing them. Now if it was a snakehead, that's a completely different story. I think if the gar and pickerel have managed to live in the water for that long, why is it my right to choose otherwise?
  15. Thanks . I PM'd him a couple days ago about how he got those multi colors on his jig heads...haven't heard back yet. Maybe he just hasn't seen it..
  16. Just curious if anyone has got a guide of the sort that will help me through what kind of materials I will need to make jigs/spinnerbaits, and possibly some assembly techniques. This isn't going to be any mass-production of the sort, so basic tools will work. I have a general idea on how to make them, just looking for any more information I can possibly get. I really want to start out simple and start making my own jigs first, then later move on to spinnerbaits. I'm not doing it to save money or anything, I just would like to be creative and make jigs the way I want them to be. Thanks for any help you gurus .
  17. I have to deal with those chain pickerel every day when I'm fishing anything flashy in the canals, along with gar. They'll even sometimes nip at the tails of twirl tail worms. I always carry 2 pairs of pliers with me though. One straight pair to hold on to their lip, and one needle nose pair of pliers to remove the hooks. I've seen quite a few fisherman catch them and leave them to die on the banks. Just kind of shake my head...
  18. Kinda looks like an eeliminator to me..
  19. That bluegill is sweet looking. Very nice!
  20. 6lbs 9oz large mouth caught on a 3/8oz yellow jitterbug (the old one). Caught at 8:30PM, back when that was the only thing I could catch fish on.
  21. The 10" red shad culprits are what keeps you from getting skunked in the canals around here. I'm really surprised no one mentioned Fire & Ice 7.5" worms, those are also very very deadly.
  22. The numbers IM6,7,8, etc stand for the modulus content of the rod. The higher the number of the IM graphite, the more modulus it has. The higher the modulus, the better the reaction speed and the power of the rod blank.
  23. Dwight should be disqualified...how can anyone compete with those monsters?
  24. Yeah, the KVD L&L spray is the real deal. I use BPS XPS fluoro line all the time (17#), I've never had a single breakoff. I must say though, I always thoroughly look over my line for any frays after a few casts. I was told the BPS XPS fluorocarbon line is the Seagar Invisx, not sure if that's true though.
  25. I just got into shaky heads within the last couple of months, now it's my go-to. I'd really recommend the gambler giggy heads with the 4/0 size hook and the barb keeper. They're the best shakyheads IMO, they make just about any type of plastic stand straight up and down. They might still be on sale at Dick's for $4, not sure though. They also had those 6" straight tail roboworms in green weenie color on sale for $3 for a pack of 10. You should do pretty well with any type of roboworm on a shaky head, I've heard many good things about their zipperworms as well.
