Megastrike Cavitron
I don't believe I've caught a buzzbait fish yet this year, but I may not have caught 10 fish on topwater this year total.

Prop Baits?
H2O Slush Minnow is a knockoff of the LC Kelly J that works very well. Great bait anytime the bass are targeting gills or bugs.

Crank Baits
Mead is a very clear lake and I'm assuming you're going to want to get deep. 6XD in clear sexy shad, green gizzard shad or a Spro DD in Spook Nasty or Spooky Shad would be some baits I'd try.

That is a beautiful fish! Looks like it should be on the cover a magazine

Why Would Someone Do This?
There's a big difference in that though. If someone is up bouncing their jig off the back of your docked boat or banging their boat into your dock trying to fish behind a lift or something then that's a problem. If I'm fishing the edges or off the front of a dock or in an open stall (I don't cast at docked boats) there really is nothing to complain about. That's like complaining about someone parking next to you in that parking lot. Kind of like buying a house next to a golf course then yelling at someone when their ball lands in your back yard.

What Its Name?
I fished Patoka in '05 in a BASS Weekend Series regional tournament. I almost made the final day cut with 1 2.5lb fish on the non-boater side and 10 or 11 pounds won it in 3 days of fishing on the NB side. I caught 4 fish in 2 days of fishing, some of the toughest fishing I've ever experienced. My boaters combined for 2 keepers in 2 days. It was a long drive home after that weekend.

A Second Spawn?
Only one spawn in this part of the country. Sounds like they probably had an area they were feeding successfully and didn't want to leave it. They do the same thing all the time, patrolling edges, humps, rockpiles, points, difference is you usually can't see them doing it

Exciting Moments While Fishing
Every time I catch that first glimpse of the lake when I'm going fishing. Doesn't matter if it's the first time I've been there or the 100th time, I get excited every time

Why Would Someone Do This?
Looks like extra rub rail protection to me. The folks that don't want people fishing around their docks usually have them better protected than Ft.Knox. I've seen ropes, wire fence, mesh netting, wires, all sorts of crap to keep people from fishing docks. I think for me it all depends on how the person acts if they ask me not to fish their dock. Someone comes out and asks politely for me to not fish their dock, most likely I'll move on without another word. Someone comes out screaming at me to get away from their dock I may have to work it a little harder while we have a chat about personal and public property We're already seeing it so marina owners can run boats off for fishing around the docks on public bodies of water, probably just a matter of time before private individuals are allowed to do the same.

Thursday the 24th at Johnny's would work for me. Maybe like 6PM?

Why Use 50+ Pound Braid?
I use Mustad Ultra line that I get in 1lb spools from 4,000+ yards to 11,000+ yards with the 6lb test. I pay $10 a spool for it and it's some of the strongest mono I've ever fished

Why Use 50+ Pound Braid?
I've read all the post here and it seems to me a majority of the members that answered your question did so with valid reasons why they choose to use heavier line. I see very few "Keyboard Warriors" on this site, and I'm on here a lot. Best to ignore the answers that rubbed you the wrong way instead of going on the defensive, internet arguments rarely accomplish anything. There is endless amounts of knowledge to take in from all the great members on this site, I think if you stick around for very long you will learn that It's all about line diameter for me. The heavier sizes fish easier on casting gear. There have been occasions in heavy grass that I had to have 65lb braid just to drag even a keeper sized fish out, let alone a big fish.

Big Football Jigs
I've got my model bait picked out, just need to sit down and pour the mold. If it works out like it's supposed to I'll have a 5/8oz mold you can borrow.

Lifetime Supply
As much as I hate to say it, I have to agree with this. One of the deadliest fish catching baits that is never going to stop working and can be fished any way possible to fish a soft plastic.

Night Fishing W/ Crankbaits
While cranks will catch fish at night, anything with trebles is one of my last choices for night fishing. I have enough close calls with treble hooked fish in the daytime, it's just that much worse in the dark.

Easier To Accept Getting Skunked In The Summer (Opinion Based)
I fish a Douglas Lake a few times a year, one of the easiest lakes around to catch fish. The Douglas Lake you're referring to I've heard is one of the tougher lakes to figure out and sounds very much to me like Truman Lake in Missouri with it's major water fluctuations. If that is the case, I do not *** you having that as your best fishing option.

Kc Area Bass Resource Fall Meet Up
I've seen it, it's about 1/4 mile from my mother in laws house right off 75th street. Nicole was working there when we started dating and it was still called Kites. It's been 3-4 different things since Kites closed down though. You still have to pay for the banquet room though. I'm open to anywhere but I really don't want to have to rent a room to eat. There's a really good Mexican place in Gardner that would work well or Jalapeno's off 151st and 69 highway that usually isn't too busy. Johnny's BBQ in Olathe would probably work pretty well, plus the owner is an avid fisherman

My 15 Minutes
A local tackle store had Brent Chapman and Casey Scanlon in for a meet and greet last week so my wife, son, and I went up to say hi to them. Brent's wife Bobbi wanted to make a spoof video and everyone there got to get in on the action. My wife was appointed the "main heckler". Even our son Lake got in on the action
