Plano Edge boxes
It has the little blocks that slide out that I think can be replaced pretty easily but not positive on that.

The Road To The Super Bowl 2020
Mahomes likely out until their bye week (week 12). If they can find a way to win 2 more before then, which they could with the Titans, Raiders, and Chargers all in that stretch, they'll likely still be in 1st for the division with the Raiders going through a rough part of their schedule. I just hope they don't rush him back and hurt him so he's never the same ALA RG3. If he needs to be shut down, shut him down and let him get right for next season. He's only 24 and can have a long career if they don't get him seriously hurt. If he's good to go, then he'll be fully healed and maybe a blessing in disguise as he comes back for the playoffs healthy and ready to go. They need the defense to play with the same fire they were last night, that was a complete 180 from the rest of the season. #Newdefensewhodis

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
If you're into catching big white bass, better get to Melvern and fish the windy banks right MEOW!

KastKing Does it again...
The original Speed Demon is over 1.5 ounces heavier and appears to be much bulkier (haven't held the new one so can't confirm but looks much more compact from the pictures). That right there is a huge difference. 37 IPT VS 42 IPT, 5" more every turn of the handle is a lot more cast by the end of the day or maybe the difference between keeping a big fish that's running at you pinned instead of it gaining just enough slack to shack the bait. This new version holds a good amount less line, which large capacity reels are for the most part not needed for bass fishing, so it should save money in the long haul on line and a full reel performs better, easier to keep a reel with less capacity full. 18lbs of drag on the new one vs 13lbs on the older one. Actually quite a few differences in the specs between the 2. On a sort of unrelated note, as I was doing the comparisons, I noticed one of my blue bladed jigs hanging from the mouths of one of the fish in their picture. The bass in the very bottom left, so that's kind of cool

5304 Owner 60º Deep Throat Jig Hooks
They're nasty, sticky sharp hooks. I don't use them often anymore since I don't fish tournaments often, but if I was they'd be the jig hook I'd be pouring my jigs on. They fit every mold I used them in that a similar Mustad/Eagle Claw was supposed to fit. I mainly used them for brush jigs though. I've slammed them through some thick ol' lips with relative ease.

Airbrush or powder pain for jigs?
Airbrush is pretty, PC is practical.

Rev1: Spinnerbait | Random Thoughts
Hammered blades are the deal right now when the shad are schooled up. They send flashes in all directions like a disoriented school of shad that is darting around.

Whopper Plopper Woes
The right gear makes a huge difference for me in the ratio of hooked fish landed with a plopper. It's possible something wasn't quite right and they weren't completely committing to the bait. There's also the chance you did everything right and it just wasn't your day.

Hook/Weight storage (Plano edge/bass mafia)
Most of my hooks are in the original packages and bullet weights are in BM weight coffins. I've got the Plano Edge terminal box that I'm going to set up this weekend though and have high hopes for it.

Red eye shads swelled?
It can happen, I've had it happen with a couple. I've heard several cases of it being resolved with contacting Strike King's CS.

I want to know
Benefit to working mids, I'm almost always home when the brown truck shows up.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
A training day Friday gave me the chance to guide Thursday. Had a father and son duo and holy cow did we catch some fish. They estimated that we'd conservatively caught 120 fish by the end of the day, and I'd guess that number is very conservative. Not sure how many doubles and triples we had, but it was a lot. White bass and smallmouth were the main catches, but also had some largemouth, spots, and drum in the mix. A 1.0 squarebill or 1/4oz RES was slaying them for the guys, I was tossing a 1/2oz RES 2tap, spinnerbait, Ned, and 5" Bull Shad. The white bass were gigantic porkers, mostly north of 2 pounds and some approaching 3. They kept a handful to try for dinner.

This made it difficult
I love those mudlines. Fish sit in the muddy water and ambush bait swimming in the clear water. Basically the same as how they use a weedline.

I want to know
I put line on them and get them in the boat ASAP before my wife sees them and asks where it came from.

Anyone else like bad weather?
My best days are usually during the worst weather, and it keeps the fair weather fishermen and pleasure boaters at home. Nice weather rarely equals good fishing except maybe in the early spring/late winter period for me.

Do You Upsize or Downsize Your Baits For Fall?
Both options work at times unfortunately. It's a case by case, or lake by lase basis generally. Some lakes it seems will have huge schools of small shad the bass are feeding on and they ignore anything that doesn't imitate those shad. Others will have roaming packs of big gizzard shad or no shad at all and the bass are eating much larger baits. Even on the small shad lakes, I personally will often go larger though to try and target larger fish. Big fish don't typically mess with those balls of shad, opting instead to target the shad that made those huge balls of shad.

I make my own and I don't know of anyone else that makes an all blue one like that.

GLIOBLASTOMA
So sorry to hear. No words.

Plano Edge boxes
It holds regular jigs too, so you could always use it for both. I could post dozens of pictures of big fish with that all blue bladed jig in their throats. No idea why they eat it, but man they love it.

Species count for 2019
I'd trade all the slimy little channel cats you want to have some pike/muskie. Big catfish are fun, but most of them are under 5 pounds and they just trash gear and if they fin you good luck.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Got a couple good ones at Olathe, including one of the biggest I've ever caught out there. These are 2 of the half dozen fish I caught in 2 hours I was there.

Plano Edge boxes
That's what happens when I start making my own of anything. I had to weed through about 15-20 extras that didn't make the cut for this box too. They're all in my kayak/bank box now. Only 2 baits in that box were store bought.

Another morning of not many bites, but the right ones. Just got this new Olive Shad RES 2 tap in the mail last week. It's test drive was successful in the form of one of the largest bass I've caught from one of the local lakes. Knew there was way too many shad grouped up in that funnel area to not be a fish on that spot.
