  1. Potential productive water. Open water does mo good if it's over a shallow mud flat or the back of coves. If it's over or near deep water with a good drop and some cover/structure then I'll give it a shot. It absolutely can be productive from the shoreline.
  2. I'll start before it's done thawing if I can get to good water.
  3. I like fishing the Keitech and jerkbaits because I usually get some bonus walleye too.
  4. I don't get to fish Bull real often, but when I do, I can always catch some fish swimming a Keitech. I've also done well on an A-rig and jerkbait early in the year as well as a wart.
  5. Whatever I'm using at the moment but my favorite skipping reel is a 9.1 Daiwa Zillion SV TWS.
  6. Rod length doesn't matter a lot but I think you'd be best suited with something in the 6-7.5 foot range in a ML/F or XF. Personally, I use a ML/XF 6' 10" LTB with a 30 size Supreme XT, 10lb KastKing Kastpro braid to 8lb leader (if I'm using one).
  7. That was Brian. He runs Kansas Angling Experience guide service who I guide for, but I still have my full time job also along with the bait making too.
  8. 6.56, it's not the fish in the thumbnail if that's what you're talking about, that one is only around 3. There's a picture of here on this thread page 187.
  9. I think she must be dreaming about the warmer weather in the forecast with the big, cheesy grin on her face.
  10. The 6' 8" Wacky Style Mojo is one of the most versatile spinning rods I've ever owned. I use it to fish all the baits you listed. The 7' 1" is way too stiff imo.
  11. I use it for jerkbaits and crankbaits mainly.
  12. Ned rig, Keitech, jerkbait, spook, shakyhead, swimming grub, wacky rig.
  13. A lot of their colors and items are mislabeled on their website too. Love shopping in store, but online isn't worth the headache.
  14. I think a lot of folks fish too deep/far off the bank for them. Catfish will cruise right up against the bank and weedlines even during the day. Also pays to be very quiet and still fishing ponds for them.
  15. Welcome!
  16. Both are good, but I like that I can buy Dingers in 30pks so I don't have to buy as often.
  17. I have some redzone traps. They're deadly at times early in the year in shallow water over grass.
  18. There's a guy that sells huge lots of them on Facebook for cheap pretty often. I don't remember how many I bought but I should be good for years and it wasn't very expensive.
  19. Yes, I've mixed the 2 before, it works well but it's kind of a pain.
  20. T rigged, jig trailer, or bladed jig trailer.
  21. Depends on the brand. I don't know about Trilene because I haven't bought any in years, but most of the line I buy is laid perfectly even, it says it right on the spool. Now if the line itself feels bumpy, that's a problem I don't care what brand it is.
  22. To catch the carp, you must become the carp. Sight fished this sucker from my kayak.
  23. I bought one of those lifetime supply bundles too. Bobber stops everywhere in my boat.
