  1. I fish 2 days a week at least, but I'll make a few cast after work in the morning 1 or 2 days a week also. One of the benefits of working nights.
  2. Yes they will. No rocks required to have craws, they'll dig holes in the mud too. I've got craws that live in my yard, they dig holes in the ground and leave little mud chimneys leading down into the ground. They live in pretty much every body of water I've ever seen.
  3. Congrats on the new PB! The cheap Berkley scales from Wal-Mart are fairly accurate, they'll get in you in the ballpark at least. Hang a set of fish grippers from the hook instead of using the hook for easy use and to be safer on the fish. I use a cheap luggage scale off Ebay, they run about $5 and are amazingly accurate.
  4. I have a bunch of old baits hanging from the wire rack that I keep my reel boxes on. Old wooden Devil's Horses and Spooks, Heddon Sonics, Lucky 13's, and several others.
  5. Price is what made me stop fishing toads. Zooms were getting close to $1 apiece and not real durable. Price on these makes them a much better option for me.
  6. I caught a big owl night fishing with Jitterbug, not a good time.
  7. I don't think it's quite as aggressive of a sound, little more of a subdued plopping since it isn't as hard of a plastic tail. Their sizes are a little different, I really like the 100 size as an all around bait for smallmouth and largemouth.
  8. Can't say that for sure, I fish mine as slowly as possible. I've never encountered a situation when a fast retrieve was better than a slow retrieve with a plopping bait.
  9. Just buy the lifetime supply off Amazon and you don't have to worry about reusing them. Man I'm cheap, but not reusing bobber stop cheap.
  10. Shorter but fatter bait for a different profile and supposed to be different sound. Not really any different than is there a reason to buy different colors of the same bait, only if you think there is a reason.
  11. Shakyhead or wacky rig
  12. I love the 80's, but couldn't get the desired action out of the 128 bubble walker. It's not so much the length of the bait, the thing is bigger around than a dill pickle.
  13. I've had success with them. One of the trailers I've used often on bladed jigs and regular jigs is about 2/3 of a stick worm. Sounds stupid, but it works. Good way to get extra miles out of your chewed up Senkos.
  14. Pat's Perch, a really expensive Slammer ?
  15. Welcome!
  16. Huh?? I know Bill Dance does most of his shows on his private lake, but he's still catching the fish, teaching and answering questions as he does it. I've never seen a show where they "pre-caught" fish. I've heard people say that they have divers putting fish on the line for them, that would be a heck of a feat to put a struggling bass on a moving bait without doing anything noticeable above water (huge, unusual line/rod movements, exhaled bubbles, large swirls or shadows in the water). Add onto that the fact that with the exception of the clearest bodies of water, visibility is minimal at best, the whole "divers putting fish on the line" tinfoil hat theory sounds like people's jealously shining through. I guess if some of the younger guys get involved because of the newer age Youtubers, that's a good thing, but calling what most of them put out informational would be a stretch. I don't know who is lumped into the group of the Googan's, it's not my thing, I know it, so I don't watch it, but if they can make a living doing what they're doing, good for them.
  17. Cassidee still isn't so sure about the new puppy, but she's starting to warm up to her.
  18. Only thing close that I know of are lakes you have to buy permits for or be a property owner. Some of the more rural lakes that you have to be a property owner to access are kind of like being a member. I own a lot on one, it's $175 a year in dues, so basically a membership to get a gate key that gets me access to 2 lake boat ramps.
  19. Fool me once... I've fallen for the "Man that looks cool!" trap that is Livetarget, not falling for it again. I've bought several of their baits and can't honestly remember catching a single fish on one.
  20. My hands mostly, but I have a pair of aluminum H2O pliers from Academy I like a lot. They have cutters on them that cut braid really nice also and they don't rust.
  21. Welcome!
  22. Nah, I have more to sell actually. I still have plenty left though. I can't even win on scratchers tickets, that's my wife that wins on all that stuff.
  23. I'm trying, I use to catch a majority of my fish with them but it's like the fish have just stopped eating them around here, and it's not just me. I did catch a fish on it too.
  24. I have one in a lake too, guess I need to go toss a 6XD around there some.
