  1. I'd pass out if I tried to deadlift that much. I use to be big into working out. Then I started working 2 jobs, got married, had a kid, it was all downhill from there.
  2. If you still have it I'd love to try it on my Ned rig rod.
  3. First one that I won from the back of the boat was at Pomme De Terre. I T-rigged a black Trick Worm while my boater was fishing a 10" worm. I also caught 1 good one of my first cast of the morning on a buzzbait while he was fishing a spook. Second was at Mozingo. I pitched a Senko with a 1/4oz pegged weight into the holes in the grass while my boater was ripping a crank through the grass. 3rd was at Cedar Bluff. I was dragging a finesse jig, picking up fish whenever my bait would hit logs and limbs away from the standing timber. My boater was pitching a finesse jig at the timber. 4th was at Truman Lake. I was banging a squarebill into laydowns and standing timber, same thing my boater was doing. I was using a wood bait while he was fishing a plastic bait. I guess the lesson there is to be versatile and look for little things your boater might miss.
  4. Booyah Popping Pad Crasher pops and walks at the same time.
  5. Great cover up work!
  6. Never seen anyone catch 2 fish on a single hook! That's awesome!
  7. How big is a Huge walleye? I've only ever caught 1 keeper eye out there and it wasn't that impressive. I'd love to get ahold of a big one though. Didn't know they'd put blues in Hillsdale either? Not listed on KDWPT's website but I've been hoping and praying they'd stock them out there. That would be about the only thing worth going out there to fish for.
  8. I like the Electric Shad color Keitechs. Zoom doesn't make a 5" lizard that I'm aware of. They have the 4" Mini, 6" standard size, and 8" magnum. TWH carries both but you can get the Zoom lizards at Wal-Mart if need be.
  9. Seems like it was 2,776 if I remember right? I spent a few weeks that summer targeting big blues and flatheads on the river or I would have likely topped 3,000.
  10. Looks like a Mudbug, you can still find them pretty easily.
  11. Welcome! That is a sweet boat! Good to see the pictures of getting the kids involved too
  12. Bladed jigs have a very steady, strong vibration, perfect for calling in fish in stained to dirty water. Almost all of our lakes are stained at best, so I rarely fish a spinnerbait anymore.
  13. The Gammy Wide Gap Finesse in a 1/0 would get my vote but I don't use any of those hooks anymore.
  14. I was super excited about archery season. After several years of the main field I hunt being planted with beans, this year it's corn. Then Thursday night I set the hook on a fish and heard a crunch in my left (bow holding), shoulder. 3 days later it still hurts. Hoping it goes away before bow season
  15. If I have an hour, I'll go fishing, even hook up to the boat and take it too. It doesn't take that long.
  16. I have a dozen of them in various sizes and sink rates
  17. The trout I'm fishing for aren't the "ultralight with 2lb test" type trout. That's going to influence your decision as well.
  18. I listed them all on the bottom of the first page.
  19. Almost impossible to make any suggestions with next to zero lake info.
  20. Nailed it. I use 10lb braid with a 8-10 pound fluoro leader to help combat the zebra mussels. I use a 30 size Pfluegar Supreme XT on a 6' 10" ML/XF St. Croix LTB.
  21. I put Owner St-36s on my Spooks. I use a #2 on full size spooks, #4 on super spook Jr, and #8 on the Zara Puppy.
  22. We don't have many spots in KS but I fish for them at Table Rock and other Ozark lakes often. A Keitech Swing Impact on a 1/4oz head with a steady retrieve and a topwater walking bait are 2 of my favorite ways to catch them.
  23. Buzzbaits are very different from the rest. I use spinnerbaits in clearer water when I want a faster retrieve and bladed jigs in more stained water when I want a slower retrieve as a general rule. I prefer bladed jigs over all of them. I make my own and they've been doing great for me this year. This one has actually been wildly successful this year. No idea why it works, but it's been terrific for everyone that's fished it around here.
