  1. A single SDJ is the best knot FOR ME with fluoro.
  2. Send it back to SK, they'll take of you.
  3. I have one that worked great but doesn't fit my trolling motor anymore because of my transducer. I'll have to try to remember to check the name on it.
  4. Coty and I fished Melvern yesterday from about 5am until 3pm. We caught fish from the time the boat touched the water (Coty actually caught one off the ramp before the boat was in the water), until the time we took it out of the water. Best places was any flat bank with bigger rock and wind blowing into it. A Strike King 1.0 type crankbait was great, had a bunch on a tube, some on a Ned, spook jr, should have had several on a Bull Shad but only landed a couple of them. Biggest fish of the day was my 3lb 2oz 18" smallie. We both had a bass slam plus we had 8 walleye, a white, several drum, and a bunch of sunfish. Great day on the water with over 100 fish caught for sure.
  5. Crankbait, C-rig, football jig, stuff of that nature.
  6. They're probably fishing jigs dragging slowly along the bottom or fishing offshore. I've never fished there bit I'd be willing to help you find them
  7. It used to start at 6 and was 30 per boat.
  8. I was sure it would be a channel since it came from a pond but the razor straight anal find screams blue cat.
  9. Yep, caught my first one in years last Thursday flipping a Pit Boss into the water willows.
  10. Post #25 on here that I copy and pasted straight from Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks website; From the KDWPT website regarding ANS fish species; K.A.R. 115-18-10: Protect Kansas from nuisance species. You cannot import, possess, or release the listed live wildlife species without a permit. Cut and dry straight from the states website. You can not legally catch and release an ANS species in the state of Kansas. You can always email the state on their website for further clarification. All the GWs I've spoken to on the issue were very cut and dry about it that it's against the law to release them. As far as them writing tickets for someone catching one, you don't "possess" a fish just by catching it. A fish is in your possession once it's in a bucket, livewell, cooler, or on a stringer. If they see you catch one and toss it alive into your livewell they very may well write you a ticket.
  11. Bass like to slap at jerkbaits, especially smallmouth. I like to have as many options as possible out there for them to stick themselves on. You can always pinch the barbs down if you're worried about easier hook removal.
  12. No, they're a native fish species that deserves to be there just as much as the bass do.
  13. 7 pages worth of answers http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/159701-what-foods-do-you-snack-on-to-get-you-through-a-fishing-day/
  14. Guys post WTT threads in the Flea Market all the time. I just traded a swimbait for a swimbait with a member on here yesterday.
  15. There's a game violation hotline in KS called "Operation Game Theft". I keep the card in my wallet and I'm not afraid to call. Like others suggested NEVER confront someone about it. It's the GW's job to handle that, not yours.
  16. Assuming the OP is talking about rod blanks and components and not lure blanks and components?
  17. I've tried them multiple times around here and almost always zero on them.
  18. I almost only use 3/8oz. The new Project Z baits are well built baits. Of course I fish my own a majority of the time but I do have a couple of the Project Z and Rage Blades. They all move differently and serve different purposes.
  19. I like salt or mineral licks. Bucks are growing their antlers right now so they need those added minerals.
  20. Take a stringer and start making phone calls. Sometimes you can get a warden and a certified scale brought to you.
  21. I saw that episode of FLW, guy was yelling at him even while the cameras were rolling. Seemed like the guy felt like it was his secret spot and it was going to get fished out because he was fishing it on TV and brought his flotilla with him.
