Biggest Bass Caught On Public Waters In Kansas
La Cygne and Nebo. Neither is close to Wichita. Butler and McPherson both have big fish in them.

Swing Jigs
I like swinging jigheads more in open water and T rigs more in heavy cover and weeds. The swing heads really excel in rocks for me.

How Much Tackle?
When I was fishing as a Co-angler I used to take a bag that held 6 3700 boxes and about 3 dozen bags of plastics. Sometimes I'd take an extra binder of plastics if I was really going in blind or if it was a lake that I might be fishing 30' deep in clear water for smallmouth or flipping bushes up a river in dirty water for largemouth.

Why Does Kvd Horse Fish In?
The longer a fish is in the water, the longer it has to get off the hook. "Skiing" a fish in is a good way to prevent them from having a chance to fight. It depends on what they're caught on and where they're caught at also. A fish caught on a deep crankbait in open water can and should be played out carefully. A fish caught flipping in heavy cover is going to be "horsed" in quickly to prevent it from getting back into the cover it came out of. As for how you should do it, do what works for you. I fight fish in quickly but carefully.

Hooks are okay, split rings are good though.

Trilene Big Game
I only use it for moving baits and it works great for that.

Chatterbait
Absolutely, I don't fish squarebills nearly as often anymore. Everyone fishes 1.5 and 2.5 cranks around here but the bladed jigs don't get the same love. They catch me more and bigger fish.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
That lake gets beat to death constantly even when it sucked, I'm sure it will get more attention now that it's trying to turn the corner. The exciting part.is it keeps producing despite the extra attention and the fish keep getting bigger.

Biggest Bass Caught On Public Waters In Kansas
Horrible suggestion unless you want a big fine from KDWP. Also not a good way to get bigger fish in a pond and a good way to end up with unwanted plants or animals in your pond. There's much more to it than just adding big fish in a pond. More than likely you'll be better off taking fish out of a pond instead of putting more fish into it. Fish grow to their environment, the less room and food per fish, the smaller your average size will be generally.

Question About The Fine Line Of Promoting Tackle Vs Relating Experiences
As long as you aren't affiliated with the company or receiving some kind of kickback for pushing them it's okay, save a few companies that are notorious spammers. We all like hearing about good products that might work better

I believe Hi Salenity blows everyone out of the water there with the 9.25 he caught last winter. Mine is 7lb 14oz.

Tried The Oh So Mighty Senko
You don't want to learn it, it's expensive. Cost me almost a whole bags worth of senkos at Grand last year. Maybe my O rings were defective.

Tried The Oh So Mighty Senko
I did and it still did, I just got to lose an O-ring and a Senko that way. One of these days I'll remember to get some tiny zipties and see if those are any better.

Tried The Oh So Mighty Senko
That would be interesting to see. As fast as they break down when they come in contact with another plastic (a few days), or JJ's Magic (instantly), I'd be curious to know if the same happens in a fish's stomach or if they just blow up like regular plastics do.

Just keep them in their original package and there will be no problems. I carry dozens of bags of Zman products and the only problems I've had were my own fault and those are few and far between. If at all avoidable, don't throw plastics in the lake. It's better for the fish and looks better for fisherman as a whole when we're not discarding trash in the lake. Of course there's times it can't be avoided, but a lot of the time it's just as easy to toss them in the bottom of the boat as it is to throw them in the water.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
I couldn't help but catch a few catfish before I left Gardner. There were ducks pulling food out of the feeder and catfish catching anything they missed. My sidescan was loaded when I floated by the feeder and predictably the fishing was pretty fast and easy.

Frog Fishing
If my frog is gone, I'm setting. When I started out frogging I tried the whole "Make sure you feel him first thing". There's only so many times I could watch my frog float back up just before I set the hook before I gave up on that game plan. If the bait is gone it's most likely because it's still in the fish's mouth.

Sufix Nanobraid
Both detect strikes very well, although the bright white Nanofil is easier for me to see. They both cast pretty well but the Nanofil does cast noticeably further.
