Lightest You'll Go?
I've used 4# on Table Rock a couple times with a DS. Provided you're not around cover you should be able to land any bass on 4#. 6# is as light as I've used for jerkbaits.

50E Anti-Reverse Working Sporadically
It's not locking up during the cast. I'm going back to cast and the reel is giving line, usually right as my rod is getting to max load as I start moving the rod back forward is when my anti reverse decides to stop working and give a bit of line. That makes sense about the possibility of some grease or dirt getting into the assembly. I'll see if I can clean it out and get it working properly, if not it'll probably be headed your way.

River Monsters
It's usually cranks that are used it seems like but grubs and shad bodies aren't uncommon either.

River Monsters
Fishing for Wels catfish with artificial baits is actually very common. I wish he used his show to educate about the fish more since a lot of these monsters are endangered instead of trying to play up the danger factor.

Any Nanofil Fans?
Agreed. I even skipped docks with it and fought fish around dock post without too much fraying (any line is going to fray in that situation). It's a tremendous line in open water. You do have to tie your leader knots carefully. For some reason I found that if I cinch down the Nanofil first it seems like my knots hold better. Try it for yourself and form your own opinion. It isn't a line for everything, but the things it does well it excels at.

Finally Catching Fish!!!
Good looking fish! Light duty sucks, I'd get so bored so fast.

Old Wiggle Wart
The Xcaliber rattlebaits are supposedly being discontinued and are very popular. It's my understanding they're just being rebranded and will be back on the market shortly, just in a new package. In the meantime, guys are running around screaming the sky is falling and buying a $7 bait for upwards of $35 apiece. If it gets worse I'll be putting mine up for sale. The Vixen is another discontinued bait that goes for a ton.

I have a 100mph suit, not my favorite I've ever owned but it does keep me very dry.

50E Anti-Reverse Working Sporadically
For some reason my 50E Curado's anti-reverse has begun working off and on, mostly during the cast. After I nearly smacked myself in the back of the head with a Shadow Rap last Thursday I put it away and haven't used it since. Is it my anti reverse pawl or what could be causing this issue? Basically, when I attempt to make a cast it will slip for a a short distance, sometimes up to 2' though, before the spool stops again. It's a big issue because it's on a 6' 2" jerkbait rod so if it slips a foot I have a bunch of treble hooks screaming past my ear on the cast.

Last 2 were gently used for $39 and $43. My new one was still just over half that, just have to do some looking.

Looking To Get A New Trolling Motor For Lowes Stinger 175
Depends on where you're fishing if you can get enough power from a 12V. I had a 55lb Maxxum on my 16' Roughneck, which is even lighter and smaller than the OP's boat. It's always windy around here so I'm on the trolling motor almost nonstop and more often than not, my batteries were dead by the end the day. Throw in some current on the river or power plant lakes and I might not make it to lunch time. I couldn't have been happier when I upgraded to the 24V system so I could fish all day without losing power.

Clear Zara Puppy
That's exactly why I feel like they work. Less there for the fish to see and determine that it's a fake, although I've had times they have a hard time getting the bait, probably because they have a hard time seeing it. Our Wal Mart had the same deal and I bought half a dozen of them, killer little bait.

I Splurged
Don't feel bad, I was one of those "I'll never spend that kind of money on a bait", guys not long ago. Now I have 2 175 Deps, a Bullshooter JR, and a 115 SS on the way! All of this happened in the past 3 months, I'm afraid a 250 may not be far behind.
