  1. I didn't weigh or measure any of them but there wasn't any over 4 pounds. They were all hard pulling and slamming the bait, plus any swimbait fish is a good fish.
  2. I have an assortment of their baits. Their popper in Prism Gill is a killer little bait I like all their jerkbaits, Neo Pearl is my favorite of those. I bought a few of thier cranks this winter I'll be trying if it ever warms up!
  3. Yeah, I'm thinking it should be great for all the big catfish we have around here though
  4. I did the same last year, sold my Roughneck and fished out of a 15' johnboat all year. It left a lot to be desired but it got me around and I still caught fish out of it so can't really complain, especially since now there's shiny bass boat sitting in my driveway
  5. World record? State record? California I'm assuming? Reported weight? Lure? C'mon man you got to have some details here!
  6. I like that idea too but then all the fans get screwed and there's no way all the sponsors would keep it a secret where they were going to be setting up. The sport has become too big to keep the location a secret unfortunately.
  7. I think we're done here. LOCKDOWN!!
  8. Haven't done it in several years but I used to. I just stick to the power plant lakes ever since I bought a boat big enough to fish them
  9. Welcome! While not quite that bad, I can understand the hardship of living in an area that gets colder than I'd like it to.
  10. I got mine from our local tackle store. He got 6 of them in on Thursday and did like he normally does when he gets a new bait in, called and asked if I wanted him to hold any for me.
  11. Anyone can catch the fish when they're biting everything you put in front of them. I enjoy watching the pros struggle and grind it out.
  12. That's a nice looking area you're fishing. Wish it was warm enough here to fish in a T shirt! or less than 4 layers of cloths
  13. Hula grub, spider grub, skirted twin tail, goes by many names and it's a proven fish catcher. Most commonly fished on some kind of jighead, but is also very effective on a T rig.
  14. I'd trade the rod to be under 21 again in a heartbeat.
  15. I'm assuming the OP is talking about a chatterbait type bladed jig?
  16. I did mine online as well. I had to pay but i could print off that I passed so I could go fishing the next day at LOZ.
  17. I'm pretty partial to my own
  18. Raymond asked me to pass this on since we have so many younger guys on here that also boat and fish in Missouri. Missouri has new law that any boaters under 30 , must pass a boaters safety class. We are having an informational meeting from 10AM-noon at Mondo Tackle (14515 W 10st Terr Lenexa, KS) on February 28th. Representatives for the Missouri Coast Guard will lead this meeting. Please, pass this on to anyone that you know that is under 30 that boats in Missouri. Also, anyone who wants to bring their boat can have it inspected and will receive a 2015 USCG approved decal showing officials, law enforcement and other boaters that your boat passed a safety inspection. This is a non-punitive inspection and designed to educate the recreational boating public. This is what the law states: : In addition, passing an approved boating safety course is required for all persons born after January 1, 1984, in order to operate any vessel on the lakes of Missouri. The next step after this meeting would be to take a Boaters Safety Course. There is a scheduled a Boat Safety courses on April 11 and May 9, 2015 at the Clay County, Missouri Annex located in Kansas City, Missouri North. We could possible get the Missouri Coast Guard to schedule a class in Lenexa, KS.
  19. I'm one of the cool kids now!
  20. I noticed I'm lacking bright colors in my lineup of bladed jigs, but not wanting to go with the same ho-hum chartreuse and white, I went a little different direction. The end result was this, meet Homer!
  21. Hopefully Beckie will be catching some fish on the ones I sent her this last Fishmas exchange
  22. Peter and I fished Wolf Creek Friday. It was a good day to be as swimbaiter
  23. You know you had a good day when you have to make a second post to finish putting up the pictures
