  1. Hate to see a public breakup like this, but it's for the best, you'll be so much happier with JJ's.
  2. They love jerkbaits and minnow baits. I've caught a bunch sight fishing with a big Rebel minnow. They're not hard to get to bite, hooking them is almost impossible.
  3. They aren't as good weightless as a Senko but they're great for Texas rigging with a weight and pitching into cover or on a shakyhead because they last so much longer.
  4. Nope but I didn't catch any on any other crank that day either so take that for what it's worth.
  5. I caught one with a baby turtle in it's throat, one with a bird tail and feet sticking out of it's throat, and I had a Table Rock spot throw up a still live salamander.
  6. What type of gar?
  7. I just did a Google search and found several. Tying your own would be another option. I tie my own bladed jigs in a bubblegum color because they're hard to find.
  8. Somehow, while you're enjoying the sun and casting into the surf in the wee morning hours for fish most of us just get to read about in weather we won't see for months still, I think you'll get over it.
  9. I've heard conflicting stories on this one. Some scientist claim they don't some say they do? All I know is, black and blue works!
  10. Red craws in cranks, dark colors in jigs, pearl in jerkbaits, and white or chartreuse and white with spinnerbaits.
  11. I bought a few and fished them a little bit. They're a nice bait, but mine have a tight wiggle and no "hunting" action to speak of. Supposed to be a wart knock off, reminds me more of a 6A or 7A Bomber. Still a good bait, but not what I was hoping for.
  12. Welcome!
  13. Welcome!
  14. Very impressive!
  15. Not even sure that KS keeps a record for gizzard shad? I know there's a record for goldeye so probably is one out there.
  16. It really doesn't make a big difference.
  17. Jigs. I always feel like I'm about to get a bite when I have a jig rod in my hands.
  18. Zoom Meathead and 3" Power Minnows.
  19. I've actually used sticks to unhook fish when I forgot my pliers. Just push against the bend of the hook and the hook will usually back out, works pretty well.
  20. Our new sponsor has some pretty cool looking baits. http://www.bizzbaits.com/
  21. That bag is similar sized to what I used to carry. If everything you need fits in there you should be fine. I use rod sleeves and reel covers with a bungee ball wrapped around the rods to keep them together so they're easier to carry and not flapping around.
  22. I have a Mettle and have been blown away with how nice of a reel it is for the $30 I paid for it on sale. However, for $50 you'd be crazy not to go with the PQ during the spring sale at BPS.
