Bud American Ale
With all of that being said, I prefer an American Pale Ale to an India Pale Ale, my favorite curently being Flying Dog's Doggy Style Pale Ale. You have your opinion, and I know what I like, and I like a good hoppy beer. Enjoy your water, I guess somebody has to keep the macro-breweries in business

Another new guy, to BR!
Awwwwwwwwwwwwww...and just when I was starting to enjoy your alter-ego ;D Seriously though, welcome! I am originally from Florida so if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Bud American Ale
I forgot to put BEER on my list of nonfishing hobbies...I forgot since we can't drink here...ARE YOU SERIOUS THOUGH!? Is it like a good IPA or cheap and nasty?
-
Non-fishing hobbies??
Poker (especially while over here, every Saturday) Playin with my daughters (when home) Searching google earth for that undiscovered honey hole like I used to have back in FL...(The search still continues) Trying to catch an EVP (laugh all you want, that stuff is NEAT!)

Can you post videos on BR?
I can't take it anymore!!! I LOVE this guy!!!! I would personally like to extend a thank you to snapper G for making some soldiers in a combat zone laugh their a$$es of repeatedly!!! I hope you stay around for a long time and continue to help your country's servicemembers!

Handling mudfish
On another note...aren't Tilapia a non-native invasive species? So what's the problem with mudfish preying on an invasive species that can terrorize bass in smaller bodies of water during their spawn?
-
Handling mudfish
If that were the case I don't think there would be any bass left in Florida...Especially as long as the mudfish have been around. Those darn pesky green trout just won't die down there, what gives!?

Bass fishing computer game

Handling mudfish
Since so many people have apparently killed their mudfish...Has anyone out there every tried eating one?
-
Bow and arrow technique
I have a few crankbaits that are still in my box only because of this technique.

Berkley Vanish fluorocarbon line
I personally have never had any issues with it like many of the others have had. With that being said, after I got rid of that spool I never bought anymore because the reviews here and elsewhere stunk so bad that I just didn't care to chance it.

Favorite shaky head plastics?
So I guess not too many of ya'll throw a craw on a shaky jighead? I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it huh? The netbait finesse worm/shaky head has saved me from the skunk many a day. I'm gonna have to check out those roboworms.
-
picked up a shimano convergence...
I used to have that same exact rod. It's a gem at that price and is a great, quality all around rod. It was my all purpose baitcasting rod when I had it. Best $29 you coulda ever spent dude! (BTW I got a shimano carbomax for pretty cheap too and I love it as well)
-
Favorite shaky head plastics?
What are some of you guys' favorite baits to use with the shaky head? I personally like the netbait finesse worm. More specifically, what kinda' baits OTHER than worms have you all tried and had success with? It seems like a good way to present a soft plastic craw too.

Adding to the arsenal
Ain't home yet grub man but thanks Soon though, bout 3-3 1/2 months left to go. Sooooooooo close!!! I can almost smell the lake (and good home cooked food from the wife)!

Adding to the arsenal
Just figured I'd post about another new addition. I got my TD Zillion hyperspeed while I was home on leave and absolutely LOVE it. It was the first baitcaster EVER that I could throw directly into about a 15-20mph wind and not even have an overrun. And speed!?? That thing is just simply ridiculous with toads and buzzbaits...Well as soon as I fiugre out how he wants the payment I picked up a TD Tierra from Bassectomy, and I have heard nothing but good things about them as well. I can't wait to get home and throw this baby too! Thanks to Bassectomy for such a great price on a quality reel! It's great to add to my artillery whileI'm in the sandbox. I can't wait to see those of ya'll that are coming in '09 to the roadtrip! -Joe

Disturbing thoughts
Some peoples' lack of class amazes me. Most fishermen are great people but some never cease to amaze me dude...Always gotta be one I guess...

Handling mudfish
I hold them down with my foot if I can, or my hand if I have to, then get they hook out with pliers. I don't kill 'em. They put up a great fight and they're fun to catch. You don't kill pickerel when you catch them do ya? The only thing that ticks me off when I catch one is I get all excited thinking I have a big ol' largemouth and here comes a mudfish rolling up.

Chuck Norris
When Chuck Norris jumps into a lake he doesn't get wet, the water gets Chucked Chuck Norris sleeps with every woman on earth once a month, therefore they bleed for a week *There are tons of these over here in Iraq in the porta johns!!!*
