  1. Great to hear man! Any idea where you're going to be stationed yet or did they not put a base in your orders for after AIT? I'm here at Ft. Campbell in Kentucky...Anyhow like someone else said...There will be good and bad times. When you get to your unit don't let the "barracks lawyers" form your impression of your unit, draw your own conclusions. There are a lot of ___bags in some units that will want to bring anyone they can down to their level. Do your best in basic and AIT and enjoy your time...You're about to grow up and you don't even know it!
  2. I saw it a couple weeks ago. They did have video of Weakley's bass from lake Dixon. The entire trophy hunters part of the show is about those guys.
  3. Is anybody still looking for a roomie? My registration is FINALLY on the way but I need to figure out my lodging situation since my original plan fell through on me. I'll be seein you guys soon! -Joe
  4. I'm still looking forward to it but my transportation arrangements may have fallen through. I've only got one vehicle and I can't leave the wife and kids with no vehicle for 5 days. The worst part of it all is that I live at Ft. Campbell, about 45min. away. Still workin on it though and I'll get there one way or another.
  5. Actually have BEEN home since the 14th. Been pretty busy and not on the computer very much. Anyhow, it's great to be back! I'll see ya'll around!
  6. If I remember correctly, none of my RC 1.5's have rattles.
  7. It came on at 4:30am our time here at the MWR center and I got to watch the whole game! Great football game! I did see Harvin's leg get yanked...I was pretty P.O.ed about that, with no flags. Tebows lil' 4th quarter gator chomp was awesome too. Anybody else think Tebow would get drafted as a fullback? ;D I've never seen a QB run over LB's or safeties like he does. 2 championships in 3 years, GO GATORS!!! 3-3 for my SEC!!! 8-)
  8. Thats too bad man. You maybe could have done better hitting docks on the main lake. And I would imagine that there will still be some spawners in there but closer to the main lake in Feb.
  9. Glad ya had a great time and got on 'em pretty good Charlie. Sure is some beautiful water down there huh? I sure do miss the sunshine state!
  10. Functionality and quality are what I look for.
  11. Lucky Craft: pointer 100, RC 1.5, and moonsault 100cb
  12. I am totally convinced that Billy Mays is the anti-christ...
  13. http://www.baghdadflyfishing.com/Iraq%20Fish%20Pictures.htm#Mangar_or_Bisz_(Barbus_esocinus)__ Check this out! It's too bad that where I am there are no stocked canals or lakes :'( Some gnarly looking fish over here! I heard that Saddam had stocked some of his palace lakes with LMB also but the low oxygen levels killed them all off after the initial invasion in '03. (We shoulda sent in some SF teams to secure the palaces and install aerators, hehehe) Enjoy the link, I know I did...
  14. Good comeback Muddy! You oughtta throw some kinda cheese into that grits recipe of yours and see how that turns out. Sounds delicious! I can't believe a $%^& yankee came up with that!!! If I am ever up in the northeast I have GOT to hit you up for some dinner sometime! If I ever end up stationed in Italy I am going to be grossly overweight by the time I come back to the US!
  15. I agree with Dominion Dan...
  16. Back in Sept. when I was home, the toads came in the clamshell pack. It really helped out keeping the toads running true. For officer Burley, they were the same price as the other rage tails that didn't have the clamshell where I bought them.
  17. I have a couple that I use on some of the smaller ponds on Ft. Campbell and I do really well with them, especially when the fish are active. One of the ponds I fish stays pretty muddy and the pond magic with chartreuse and neon orange blades is about the only thing I can buy a bite on in that lil' pond. Good lil' numbers bait, and a good starter spinnerbait to get your confidence up.
  18. That is a SICK looking BBZ-Perch, Paul!!! Awesome job.
  19. This is coming from a HUGE Gator fan-----Ole miss did a great job!! Way to represent the SEC!!! Great job! Now, enough of that...#&$* rebs... ;D
  20. The few times I was able to fish in '08, the cavitron buzzbait did the job for me (black with red blade). I was loving the rage tail toad too but in those few trips I ended up switching to the buzzbait because the fish would hit it too, and it doesn't have to be replaced every couple of fish. If the grass was too thick for the buzzer, then definitely the toads.
  21. Just starting out into the world of baitcasting gear huh? The monkey's about to have his claws in you BAD! ;D My favorite rod for an all around, and this is just personal preference, is a 6'6" medium heavy/fast action. My question is, how muchs are ya' looking to spend?? Good luck in your rod hunt!
  22. I do!!! 2 more weeks!!!
  23. I like them both but prefer the LC Pointer if I had to chose.
  24. That is probably the best answer to this question so far. That being said, I have loved every Daiwa baitcaster I have owned and I'll be giving the pflueger president a shot pretty soon here.
  25. You mean Daiwa ;D I got one while I was home on leave and I LOVE it! You say you want a farrari paintjob if you're paying farrari money? You might wanna see one in person then cuz I think this baby would be right up your alley! The pics definitely don't do it justice... -BACK ON TOPIC- (sorry) I'm sure there'll be a couple of '09 catalogs at the house when I get home with a big ugly baboon just waiting to jump from the pages and steal my bank card.
