  1. My old crappy snowblower blew its final blow a few years back and I have been running a shovel since. This year I treated myself to a new one though.
  2. 4, 5, 14, 21, 43, 53 and 82
  3. Too much to list here. The boat gets put away around Thanksgiving time or shortly after and comes back out late March/early April and it ALWAYS sneaks up on me way too fast.
  4. Have had lots of memorable days. This one stands out as being near the top of the list. Notice the ** The payout didn't reflect the additional $2900 for breaking the record.
  5. After I got done with the boats I had a brilliant idea of making my own RC off road vehicle and using a chainsaw motor as the powering device. Why not, it already had a built-in clutch system. Had the frame welded up and had the motor, but that's as far as it got.
  6. I requested to my family years ago that I didn't want anything fishing related for Christmas, with the exception of the odd gift card or two. With that said, my list is pretty boring (for this thread) so far; a pair of jeans, a wallet, bottle of booze and a couple gift cards. Which is all good stuff I would never buy for myself anyway.
  7. About 25 years ago I got into it briefly. Had a tunnel hull racer. I started the first one from a wood kit. It soon became apparent that was not for me so I bought the preformed hull version to speed things along. It was powered by a .45 cc alcohol engine. The thing screamed and shot a hell of a rooster tail. It was advertised to run about 50-60 mph, but I was never able to confirm that. The ponds I had nearby were not big enough to run it on, and the lakes were always too rough. I kinda got out of it as quickly as I got into it, and minus a pile of money. lol This isn't me or my boat, I just found a random picture on the internet that shows roughly the same style and size of the boat i had. Motor looks awfully similar too.
  8. Most years I guess I would fall in the 120+- range. Some years more, some years not much much less.
  9. Had me for exactly me same, even though I said soda and expressways. Me thinks the site picks up on your IP address or something and traces the location of your connection.
  10. My entire arsenal of casting reels consists a half dozen Pro-Max's, 1 Silver Max, a few Black Max's and a whole bunch of older generation Back Max 1600 round reels. They ar eall decent for what they cost, I think. My single Silver Max has been my frog reel for a couple years and I beat the crap out of it.
  11. How about this one. My buddy and I are dragging tubes. I am catching fairly consistently, he is struggling. He says it is my bait/line/rod/weight/etc I am using. I suggest we switch rods. I catch one within 50 feet on his rig and hand the rod back to him.
  12. I was gonna post, but knew you would, so I refrained from it. lol
  13. If it is this one you will love it. Although you should try all the other methods for many many years to get the full affect of how good this one is.
  14. I can catch ten bluegills and they will be in ten different colors/shades/patterns. I am not sure what a custom painted bait would get me. With my luck, the one bluegill that was colored like my custom bait would have died last week and I will be SOL. lol
  15. Truth be told.................in 1994 I bought 1963 Crestliner closed bow fully welded aluminum runabout. The hull was in great shape and the rest of the boat was trash. Completely gutted it, got the jigsaw out and cut out the bow, replaced support, built decks and added all the feature of a decent fishing boat. It served me well for a few years. The 40hp Evinrude that was on it was rock solid for an old motor.
  16. I didn't know if he was using the standard Do-It hook ($8+ for a 100) or the heavier dutier Mustad ($20+ for a 100) which is supposedly twice as strong. After re-reading I see John said Mustad.

  18. Definitely can't have both. lol
  19. I knew somebody that ordered a rod from BPS and after a longer than normal delivery time he got them to send another rod, then the one that was originally ordered came shortly after
  20. What you need to do is have someone make a nifty little silicone mold for a size/profile that exactly meets your needs.
  21. Starting to become clearer.....................I think.
  22. Exactly what I do, I use a 2/0 G-Lock and let the hook point float freely inside the tube. Only works with thin walled tubes though, but that's all I use anyway.
  23. Not sure why you need a total lengths worth?
