  1. Thank you for your service ! Since the daylight saving just started. I'm going to be out fishing as much as I can.
  2. Just broke my Gen 2 Champion 734C yesterday on a foul hook set . That rod was my spinnerbait rod. Going to call up dobyns to inquire about how to do a replacement with $90 fee ($70 fee + $20 ship). While I am looking online - Should upgrade to DX744 for extra $90 or stay with the champion 734C ?
  3. Have a NRX 803C JWR for texas rig 3/4 inch craws I am looking to beef it up. Need a rod to handle the bigger texas rigs (5inch) or 3/8 to 1/2oz Jigs Need to be Full Cork and pair up with Shimano Core 50 MG7 with Shimano 7.7 Brenious gear. Gloomis NRX 854C Gloomis GLX 854C St. Croix Legend Elite (EC71MHXF) Dobyns DX745 HP ( is it sensitive as NRX ) Another must have is warranty, I am cool with G.Loomis, St. Croix and Dobyns. 6. 90% : tacklewarehouse and fishing forums. 10% is the occasional emergency at BPS
  7. That is not true - Paypal and Ebay didnt help me with the Chargeback scam with the purchase of the Curado 70 on ebay. I purchase from the seller last year and got a package from Cabelas. One month later, I got a chargeback letter from cabelas wanted me to pay them. It appears that he used a stolen credit card to order/shipped to me. EBAY/Paypal were no help for four months as I called them to fight it. I finally got a hold of Cabelas and they were able to figure out based the tracking number that the seller gave me on ebay. Will still use ebay - but I will use only those who have 99.9% ratings along with over 1k selling ratings. Just dont put your trust on ebay/paypal as they like to play games.
  8. The one that I shipped was 96x4x4. That's why I posed this thread. it's nuts ! Its like they wanna rob your money with a
  9. Dont blame ya for getting it replaced .. but why does it goes from $50 bucks to $32 bucks. That's my beef. I told myself that I would never ship a rod again unless it's warranty replacement from Gloomis/Dobyns
  10. Hard as nails --- Could you give me some name brands. I have a wife and she doesnt do nails
  11. Am looking for a epoxy to put on the hooks that I made with the Mono line. It looks like I need to add but I want a small or reuse epoxy. Dont want to get something then it becomes a one time thing, I meant, I only have ten hooks to do. However, if there is an alternative way of doing this which I could use the gorilla super glue. It's kinda of "waterproof for 500 hours. Feel free to let me know if there is one THanks

Thank god I am not the only one, I tend to replace the skirts after the first season on the chatterbait.
  13. Bought a vise and brass bobin at BPS for 25 bucks. Boy did this make my life so much easier ! Did some work on 4/0 Gamakatsu Finesse Wide Gap Hooks with the mono (40lbs). I know its not perfect but it will do for now. Just can't wait to pop those on their lips
  14. Just went out and got two strings rolls (black) Did some work on it. I know its not perfect but it will do for now. Last part is the epoxy. I have one here but it looks like it was so old that it doesn't come out. Looks like I gotta go to Walmart and find a very small one. Or I can put gorilla superglue and forget it
  15. Decided to buy a vise and work on those 4/0 Gamakatsu Finesse Wide Gap Hooks with the mono line. What thread size should I get from Joann's or Walmart ? This is what I plan to do...
  16. Know this is a old thread but NICE SCORE ! I'm in the same boat right now as I am looking for a Jig Rod. I have a NRX 803C JWR for Texas Rig that I love to death. Im looking between the Gloomis NRX 854C and St. Croix Legend X Series Casting Rod 7'1" Med Hvy). I would be happy with the score under $300 shipped. But your score on Kislter Z-Bone model LEXF-5H-73 Heavy X-Fast just added that to the three on my list.
  17. How can those guys just have the "nerve" to go to your door and deliver it. "Here is your broken tube, hope you purchase insurance"
  18. NICE SCORE & I know the feeling ! Once at a tournament, I stepped on my favorite rod and broke the guide. I was like this !
  19. Texas Rig - Bottom Contact Save your money and get the Gloomis NRX 803C JWR ! I got mine NEW for $300 bucks shipped on ebay.
  20. I have been doing that for the last month to go and check out two Walmart. They don't have anything at the clearance section "yet" . Last year was the Yo-Zuri Hybrid Fishing Line that I grabbed for like $2.50 bucks. I knew I should have stock more up as I am halfway out. All I need is fishing lines.
  21. Did that last year .....I bought like 12 rolls of Yo-Zuri line for like 3 bucks each. Now, I need to refill them. They aren't carry it anymore This year, I haven't seen any clearance at Walmart near my area. I was kind of surprised by that.
  22. Nice man, You def need more .... You got the other side to fill up ! The monkey bait is calling ya ....
  23. That is what's happening to me right now ....
  24. Agree ! I would rather to get that along with gear replacement. However, that is another 40 bucks there.
