  1. Congrats Man --
  2. Sunline FX2 Froggin is incredible braid line Just love the way it feels Did I just say that I'm about to order some
  3. Just buy one spool with 10 Lbs braid and you shall see a big difference in casting distance. Trust us on that
  4. I have seen those on tackletrap and it always confuse me: "The Tackle Trap has acquired a nice selection of "Rep Samples" to offer our customers at a discounted rate. Most of these items are brand new and some have been opened to view at trade shows across the country, but rest assured, these are the real deal and are all in new condition. All rep samples sold by The Tackle Trap retain the original manufacturers warranty. We're excited to offer our customers the opportunity to acquire some of these items at a very nice discount. Due to the discounted rate, coupon codes do not apply to items in this category. " But on GLOOMIS Website and 90 seconds calling GLoomis/Shimano. http://www.gloomis.com/content/g-loomis/us/en/home/fly-fish/support/warranty.html If the rod is labeled DEMO or SAMPLE on the butt section of the rod, it does not have a warranty.
  5. I actually want the G. Loomis NRX Casting Rod Blue 6'8" Med Hvy 803C JWR Im afraid of that price.....
  6. Gotta Support my local Shop (www.anglersexpress) -- @fishnkamp I have narrow down to those two: Powell MAX 3D 683 CEF MEDIUM HEAVY XF Powell MAX 3D 723 CEF MEDIUM HEAVY XF Since I have been going back and forth on this. I will be fishing mostly at the shoreline since I dont have a boat yet but I do go tournaments. I'm thinking of the 6'8 for bottom contacts. However, I have a 6'9 JB Custom Rod that I can use for the time being until I save up some dough for few more months to get high end rod like Legend Elite. Save the dough that I would have used up: $120 Save 50 bucks for 6 months: $265 Have extra dough at $ 420 OR SCREW IT - Just get the St.Croix Legend Elite (7'1" Medium Heavy X-Fast) Decisions, Decisions and Decisions .....
  7. Got three of those Gen 2 STX heck, They are a work horse reel
  8. Go to the Dobyns Website and click on Store. You should see the tab "Factory/Mislabeled Rods"
  9. I would be picking up the St. Croix Mojo -----
  10. Thanks - Guess I will just take 5 seconds of my life for the next few months (or Years) on every Monday evening
  11. Just been looking into this St. Croix Bargain Room - When do they tend to have some good rods like LTB or Elites ? Reason is that I have been looking into it quite often which I never see it sell AVID X or LTB. I envy those who bought those in the past which were a good deals they had..
  12. 2nd - Using a spinning rod for the senkos/light plastic has made a difference for me. I tried to use the bait caster but it was too much for me. If you really want to use a baitcaister, you would need to fork up some dough for those that can throw light weight stuff
  13. I would pick a 2500 size over that reel if you can Its not going to feel light with that reel on it, Its gotta be a TANK Feeling. all my reels are in 2500 size or less with 10/15 lbs braid line. It works just great.
  14. Forgot about the Powell - Powell Rods are great. I have the 7'2 ML Endurance that was so light. Its set up for shaky head. I should have thought of that first and all of them are extra fast. The way I like it. I have never held a MAX 3D so its time for a little road trip. Will make a visit to the local shop in Cocksville, MD (anglersexpress.com) . Gotta check out the Dobyns, St Croix and Powell to compare. If Dobyns is the direction Im going with, What suggestion for the Extreme Champion HP model ? Thanks again
  15. Need a New Rod - Looking for MH/Xfast action. I like X-Fast actions for Craws and bottom contacts Im known "kidnap" them right away. The one that I broke today was the Bass Pro Black 6'9 Carbonlite MH/XF action. No - I will not get the same model since its not my style (white rod) Budget: 200 to 300 depends (I already have Dobyns Champion 735) - 1) St. Croix LTB 7'1 Med Hvy X-Fast: $270 - 2) Dobyns: CHAMPION XP 7'3" MH X-FAST CASTING ROD $259 Alt: - 3) St. Croix Avid X 7' Med Hvy Fast: $210 Im aiming toward to the St.Croix due to better blanks. I would have looked into the Dobyns Exterme but they are Fast action and know for slower respond time. What suggestion to you guys have. I wont make a decision until some vendors have SALES like TWH or another site with 20% off.
  16. Know this is a old post ---You are awesome man ! Always helping out a fellow Marylander.... *thumbs up*
  17. Hello All - Would like to see how I can find out how to replace the tip top of the CarbonLite Rod. I know that I could call Bass Pro's Rod/Reel Repair Shop to get information. Model/SKU: CL72MSDS The rod tip isnt broken but I wanted to replace it it to prevent from "sawing" due to braid line and it looks "worn out" Any idea how I can find the dimensions, the tube size and the ring size so that I can make the order to replace it at later time.
  18. I feel your pain , Just had that happen to me over the weekend. At least it was only 1/6 th of the reel spool from Walmart's clearance of the yo-zuri line (3 bucks) I feel your pain
  19. Just giving heads up since TWH will not do gift cards online as I just checked it. (Excluded Brands) http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/saleexclusions.html but if you call them and ask, They will do it. I have been successfully for the last three phone calls.
  20. How are you getting the URL to appear, cuz I'm trying to read it up I'm a sysadmin and I should able to figure this out Go figure ..
  21. Shipped once from California to Maryland. It cost me like 44 bucks with UPS.
  22. Congrats man. I broke my personal best twice in 15 mins - It was hovering 4.5 Lbs for a good one year, Then I hit a 5.5 Lbs on 1/2 White Spinnerbait ...15 mins later, I hit a personal 6.4 Lbs in the same spot with 1/2 oz white chatterbait Proof - Its the avatar picture over there..
  23. Congrats man, I was actually looking at this site to see what worked for you. It's no question that I'm gotta bring my arsenal of chatterbaits for next week. What was the weight that you used ? im thinking 1/2oz Black and Blue and how deep where they biting at ?
