Got three of those reels - SV103H and SV103XS. The spool is smaller. I would opt for something else. I'm pretty sure that someone will chime in soon.

Once I get snagged, I would wrap several times on my arm and just slowly pull while walking backwards. It will come loose. 99% it has worked for me. the 1% is lost somewhere deep.

The way I spend on my fishing setup: Combo on ROD/REEL is set like 60%/40% Example: ROD: Gloomis NRX873 REEL: Shimano CORE 50 MG7 with 7.7 gear set.

Lately, I have made the switch from 3/8th to 1/2oz. Not only that, I have swapped to Zillion 100pa (4.9.1) speed to keep it down. I just have a habit of fast reel up.
