There's a few good ponds in roccity that iv heard brought up on this site I live 45min west of roc so I stay local but have a dozen spots that are killer so I don't venture out to roc that often other then to go to the mall in greece its got the closest dicks sporting goods for me. If u take the parkway and head west till the end u end up in kuckville where you got lake ontario johnsons creek oak orchard creek and lake alice all 5 -10min from eachother and if u venture another 20min u get glennwood and the alabama swamps every spot is loaded from bass to northern pike and walleye.

See my supervisor says its ok go for it the computor geek is the one who has a issue with it

Its a brand new spool that's why I'm not just gonna toss it for a new line I used it last year on a diffrent set up for jigs around rocks covered with zebra muscles never had a issue. Id toss it for something else if I was single or made more money but if I were to tell big momma I gotta get new line when this isn't a week old she wouldent ever let me hear the end of it.

I can't even keep track of all the times iv gone to make copies in the superintendats office to see him playing games along with the secrataries.

Well I went out to the same spot I went Sunday but there wasn't a fish insight the birds wernt even on the water like befor water was up another foot or so and the water looked like that super dark chocolate milk. No spooked fish no hits but I did catch a baby snapping turtle bout the size of a half dollar piece.

Also about the how much you can pay a guy comment and productiveness my salary is $11,235 and that's befor taxs my wifes is the same she's a aide as well just with handicapped kids. So that little salary plus the crap u deal with from the kids def pushes you I teach 12grade in the am 11th in the afternoon so they are the kids with the worst attitudes I.e kicking the door when people are using the bathroom. As far as productivity iv been runner up for aide of the year sense I started only being beat out by the people retiring and I have also had perfict attendance sense iv started but that's been for every job sense pitching hail bails at age 13. So id say I'm def productive and "doing my work" in more then satasfactory manner.

Yeah my english sucks I know math and science was my thing. But as a teachers aide all I do basicly is assist the teacher with what ever like grade papers hand out work help in the shop. I only go on BR when I have down time and if I gotta do something I drop it and do what needs to get done and there's no problem. Like I said I joined in what january been on everyday sense while at work never an issue but today they blocked BR, BPS,TW, GANDER. All the others were cuz of shoping bu for BR it says "exeption" like they couldent come up with anything else. My supervisor is agreeing with me as he doesn't see the issue as well as long as its when I have down time wich is very often sense its the end of the year.

So I was surfing BR this am at work as IV always done sense the day I joined. I do this when my kids are taking notes and I have free time because I'm a teachers aide in a career and tech school for diesel/AG mechanics. Well I'm reading they block BR this sets me off just a little so I email the administrator politely asking why. Well now I'm getting this line of crap about policy and its a non educational site. IV found a loop hole in every response hilighted it and mailed it back. This has been going on sense 9am. So now I'm forced to use my POS ally phone to post. I see where there coming from to some extent but not blocking it and jerking me around. Maybe a simple only go on during lunch or when no students are around. IV used the site articals for English credit write ups as well sense anything outdoors can cover there write ups. Then to top things off after the block I go to use the bathroom and the kids start kicking the door in its a retarded thing they like to do well I snapped the whole class wentvsilent and in shock. They were all like "OMG Mr. George you never yell or get mad" I'm a pretty laid back easy going Guy but between getting blocked from BR then having the door kicked in when taking a whiz I blew my top.

I had my line break yesterday costing me my last black colorado terminator and i was snaged on a dang branch. i am using Vanish flouro 20# i do the trilen knot i believe its called where you loop it threw the eye twice wrap six times pas threw the loop wet and cinch. well yesterday it broke on the know with hardly any pressure this isnt the first time iv had this problem either but i went all last year with out a hitch. now this year same problems just on stronger line. is it the knot im using should i switch to a palomer or cant you use it with flouro. and i DONT want to have everyone telling me just switch to brand x cuz im not gonna not anytime this year anyways.

I just got some today I put it on some yum flukes and my jigs but the water levels were 4ft above normal and current was super strong couldent keep a 3/4oz jig down

this is spawning off the horny toad thread. does any one flip/pitch horny toads or like frogs into brush or wood. you seen frogs all the time diving down into the stuff when they jump off the bank so why not throw a 1/2oz pegged weight on a 4/0 horny toad and toss it in the brush like a frog foraging i think it would be killer and new or maybe not so new if your already doing it.

got my TW order today ran home on lunch to get it cant wait to try out my stuff. i orderd some yamamoto weightless tube weights 2 packs in ever size, gammy flipping hooks 4/0 and 5/0 2 packs each, and a tube of mega strike. that puts last weeks bait monkey bill to 250. i spent 176 at gander walked out with 2 little bags and 1 rod mostly all plastics and a few hard lures the rod was a cheap berk lighting rod for a spare bc i had. then i droped 50 at dicks on soome cranks and spinners. the wife said i should be done for the season but i forgot so much gotta make another trip i need some shallow cranks and frogs completly forgot when i was there shes not gonna be happy.

ill climb the slide at the playground and cast from there lol the spot runs next to my old school its over looked ALOT i rarely see others there most people fish below the falls this spot is a wide shallow basin above the falls with a channel along one side. in the summer i never see people and i get people asking me how i catch fish or if theres even fish there because it get coverd about 95% with lilly pads. i think the smallest bass i caught there was 2.5lbs most are in that 4-5 range and the pike are all over the board dinks to 40" heck even the bull head i got outa there last year was big i caught it on a SK shadalicious swimbait!! the down side being next to the school and a playground is not only do i spoke fish but alot of times theres dogs and kids running around throwing sticks in the water. the other side is the town nature park but that sides not nearly as productive 1.5ft to 2.5ft deep for about 150yards the school side is the side the falls are on and its 1.5 slopiing out to 4ft then drops to 16ft the shelf to the channel is maybe 15-20ft wide then the channel is maybe 10ft wide then it just gets sandy and shallow all the way across to the other side.

Glenn should make a BR app for smart phones have it go right to the site maybe a fishing log, weather, water temps of main lakes, fish calculator. if i was good at programing id make one and call it something else but im not and dont know who could so im throwing it out there to Glenn maybe it happens maybe t dont but it would be sick if it did.

thats where i got my panic box idea from i read his fishing on the edge book last year when my wife got it for me for xmas. i got a small box packed full of little jointed rapalas, grubs, floating worms, inlines, and some hand tied flies. the box gets used more then id like though......

im gonna go back to the same spot tonight if the thunderstorm holds off we had a quick storm on my lunch break hailed and thunder and lighting lasted 10 minutes now its patchy sun here and there. if it holds im gonna go back with some spinners and senkos or flukes

i do this when floating the river in the summer more so when i was single then i do now married. this spring has been crazy cold its suposed to hit 76 today though and 60s tomorrow and thursday then friday 39!!! then sat back to 65 this is crazy

its bad on oak orchard and johnsons creek its why i dont salmon fish anymore cuz it gets packed on them rivers and to many people get angry

called the fishing hotline last night well the wife was getting a sonogram and it said good reports of perch are being caught in the rivers a few miles up from the lake along with bull head and bluegill. i seen tons of gobies when i was wading for trout about 3 weeks ago. do u think the bass arnt far behind following the "food" and both rivers are dominantly Smallmouth rivers with a few large mouth like 1 lmb for ever 20 smb i catch. the water temp is also high 40s and low 50s in some parts.
