  1. You know your dream can come true........
  2. Well I didn't find any seats last night. So, first I think I will try some fatter screws. That seems the easiest and least invasive on my seats. If that fails, then it's time to do something like Fluke and Mike suggested. Thanks
  3. Outstanding!!!!! That had to be an incredible experience.
  4. I caught a 4 something on Lake of the Ozarks off my buddies dock on a flying lure when they first came out. That was my PB for a few years. ;D I actually just ran across an un-opened box in the garage today ;D ;D
  5. BTW - An "experiment" not work???? Never. ;D
  6. :o :o I am out the door RIGHT NOW!!!!! Thank You ....... maybe ;D
  7. Man, Hot n Tot ... aka the Bait Monkey ;D
  8. Yeah Muddy, I think I have seen those. Are they the one's that don't fold down?? I would prefer the ones that fold down because they have to go in my vehicle when en route. I know, I am so particular : ;D That is by far the best price on those seats I have seen though. If I end up buying new seats, I will have to go check-out Wal-Mart. Thanks.
  9. Huh? My seats do not have pads ... I like that. I am not sure about the others. I have never paid attention to that when I have seen them in person. I see what you may be getting at ... rip the pads off??? But those things are like $30+ a piece. $60+ for a couple cheap plastic seats just doesn't sit well in my mind for some reason. :
  10. First off I have a boat similar to this. Please take notice to the seats. My problem is the screws that hold the seat to the swivel/bracket come loose and eventually fall out if I don't check them often, leaving seat a little unstable and tippy on top of the base. Here are some more pics: Here's the bottom of the seat assembly. As you can see one screw has fallen out. Here's one that's on it's way out. When they are like this, they also interfere with the seat swiveling smoothly. Here's the holes. You can also see some plastic shavings that the screws have taken out over time. And here's one of the screws. As you can see, it has stripped some of the plastic out with it I would like to do every thing possible not to buy new seats. I have the ones with out pads and thus far I have had no luck finding them. I am thinking about filling the whole up with some sort of adhesive (epoxy?), then re-screw the bracket back on. I've also thought maybe there is some sort of plastic filler out there. Fill the holes. Re-drill some holes, then attach. The more I think about that though, I don't like it unless maybe one of you guys have done something like this. Suggestions??? Epoxy ... yes/no??
  11. Good God!!! Those are some THICK bass. Nice catchn'
  12. Doug, I see you are in MO. So I assume you are fishing some cold water??? I went out for the first time the other day. I noticed there was quite a bit more memory than I was used to last year. I attribute that to the cold water. I had absolutely zero memory issues with it last year. I started using it in the end of May so all of my experience is with warmer water.
  13. Love the Gamma Co-Poly!! I use it for for everything in various line sizes except on my braid set-up.
  14. IMO your other two rods would be better for throwing treble hooked lures. I do not have and have not fished either, but from what I understand St. Croix's Med power Fast rods have a fairly soft tip making them better for treble hooked lures. I have also heard they are great general purpose rods. IMO XF would a little more technique specific. I am personally using it for weightless senkos (weightless), soft plastic jerkbaits, shaky head worms, and light jigs.
  15. ww2farmer is right on. I have the Legend Tounrey version and no way would I buy this rod specifically for crankbaits. I guess it would ok to use for shallow cranks and lipless cranks in a pinch, but not specifically for these techniques.
  16. Probably a couple times a year. I am talking about the days when you can almost "call your shot"
  17. Lab, Golden, Chesapeake That's the way I would go ... in that order. I have had a Golden and have a Lab right now. I pretty much view them as the same "breed" in a way. Very similar character and traits. A Golden requires a lot more maintenance with all their hair though. I think Chesapeakes by nature don't have as strong of drive to please than the two others. I believe they are a pretty stubborn dog and therefore a little hard to train. I do think they are the strongest swimmers out of the bunch though.
  18. ice out to 50* - Deep cranks and jigs 50*-60* Jerkbaits and lipless cranks 60* to spawn time - Jerkbaits, lipless cranks, shallow cranks targeting isolated pieces of cover For me it seems like the magic number around here is 55* and whole lake starts waking up and it seems like you can find active fish just about anywhere.
  19. Big ouch!!!!
  20. I think I would push it and go for the 23 oz Gusto.
  21. I very rarely get hungry while fishing. Don't know why?? But the minute I am off the water, that's a different story. I always bring about a gallon of water and my tackle bag always has a couple protein bars should I get hungry. A lot of times too I chew pistachios like most people chew sunflower seeds.
  22. Wow!!!! The Mojo was witness to the crime. ;D ;D Do you think if Howell would have won The Classic he would have given the MOJO back??? Nice touch
  23. No kidding. They had enough confidence in him to put him on Law down the stretch
  24. 1st one: Mouth of 6 Body of 4 4 lbs 12 0z 2nd one: Looks dense 2 lbs 13 oz
