  1. I don't watch stuff like that. There are better things to watch on Youtube.
  2. I've fished in a couple of ponds where bass have hit catfish bait. There may not be enough forage in the pond to go around.
  3. Actually I do better letting a t-rigged plastic drop straight down and then bringing it up off the bottom a foot or two.
  4. There are times when I’m fishing from the shore and I think Man it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be, I wish I was in a boat. Then there are times when I’m fishing from shore and I think I hope those guys out there make it in ok.
  5. Hi there. I thought you were busy catching all those little 5 and 6 pound bass down south.
  6. Usually with a slap tear or rotator cuff tear there is some kind of popping sound when the shoulder is moved around. Kind of like rice crispies. Grinding could be anything.
  7. This year I will be using mono for everything but punching mats.
  8. Either a jig or a 6” plastic worm.
  9. I don't target carp, but I have caught a lot of them fishing for bass. Usually feels like I've hooked a speeding train.
  10. If I'm fishing from out of boat I keep the plastics in their packages and put fold them into the tray. If I am walking the shore then I will take a few baits out of their packages and put them in a tackle box. I very rarely take the entire bag of plastics while on foot.
  11. The first bc reel my dad owned was a millionaire 5B. His second one was a 5HS which he bought a couple of months later. I remember that 5B being a workhorse.
  12. I went to BPS so I could use my gift cards to purchase my 2019 fishing license. I strolled back through the bargain bins and saw that they had KVD crankbaits, Redeye shad, and SK Bitsy Flip jigs all on sale. The redeye shads had been pretty well cleaned out, but I managed to find a sexy shad, and a bone colored bait. From the jig bin, I got three orange/brown, two black, and three black/blue 3/8 jigs.
  13. I would go with the C4. I bought a used 5600C4 back in November of 2005 and retired it at the end of last year. The only thing that ever went out on it was the pawl in the level wind.
  14. I have had good luck fishing tubes in the spring. I t-rig them and fish them around vegetation. Lightest weight possible.
  15. At least now I won't have to shovel snow in the dark.
  16. Now I’m going to wake up tonight dreaming that those things are crawling on me.
  17. Nice write up. You'll clean up next time.
  18. I fish with 3/4 oz. traps in 6 ft. of water where I fish the 1/2 oz. traps. In the spring and the fall sometimes the bass want bigger baits.
  19. Congratulations! That's a great start to the year!
  20. I started fishing jigs back in 2005. Some of the lakes and ponds I fish see some heavy pressure, but I never saw too many people fishing with jigs, so I though I would give them a try. I started fishing with jigs when the ice was gone in March, but I never went on a fishing trip just with jigs as bait. That's probably why I didn't catch my first bass until October.
  21. When I was a little kid there was a guy that would walk around the docks with a magnet and bring up all kinds of stuff. If he saw something fall in he would come over and ask what it was that got dropped and you could tell he was making a mental note of the location.
  22. When I started fishing I used Stren. I kept hearing about Big Game and tried it. Now I haven't fished with Stren in years.
  23. Probably on a cane pole fishing for sunnies.
