Why do you hate bed fishing?
I don't go looking for bedding fish, but when I find them I do make some casts. I may catch 2 or 3 or 4, but then the bite will stop. Once the bass realize what is moving across their territory is not a living thing they leave it alone.

grrrr...I need to develop a stronger core.
Mine is the same way. The compression from standing makes it worse.

Are you in the Four C Club (CCCC)? If so, prove it.
After reading all of these posts I need a nap.

Your Love/Hate Relationship with the Wind
I like the wind around 5 to 10 mph. Anything harder than that and I have to change up the baits and weights that I am using.

How’s everyone doing in the Midwest??
Here in East Central Mo., the bass are in spawn mode. As far as I can tell the catching is dependent on the weather. Sunny and warm days no bites. The bass are biting better when there is rain and wind, but this spring it doesn't seem to be as gusty as in previous years.

Successful spawn or something to be concerned about?
What does the forage look like in the lake, and how much of it are you seeing? I have a lake near me that has had the panfish get larger each year, but the average size of the bass caught was getting smaller. This trend continued until shad were stocked into the lake.

New Article! Catch And Release: Good Intention, Poor Outcome?
I have three ponds near me that are managed by the state. You used to be able to catch 4, 5, and 6 pounders out of them. About 12 years ago they made those ponds C&R. Now if you catch a bass that weighs a pound you are ahead of the curve.

Basic Reel Maintenance Checklist
Tools, cleaner, towels stuff like that. Anything I need to clean the reel with so I don't have to keep getting up and possibly lose a part.

Basic Reel Maintenance Checklist
Always a good idea to make sure you have all of the tools your going to need before you start cleaning. I make a check list for those also.

Is flourocarbon worth the headache?
Not for me. I tried fluoro and I couldn't tell any difference from fishing mono.

What’s a great tube brand?
About the only tube I use these days are the ones from BPS.

It's local.
Jig and craw, crankbait, and finesse plastic worm. These three have been my top producers in the summer for years now. I fish the jig and plastic worm around open structure and sparse vegetation. I will run the crankbait in water with patchy vegetation that is matted on the surface.

Jig and trailer storage??
I take the trailers off and put them back in their bag. I keep the jigs tied on until they dry out and then put them back into the 3700 box. I never put the jig back in the box while it is wet.
