  1. For me it depends on how thick the stuff is I'm punching through. The thicker the slop then the more compact the plastic bait.
  2. I like a t-rigged creature bait, weightless super fluke, and a shallow running crankbait. If I have fished the area before and know what cover is around I will use a jig.
  3. Well I don't know about the rest of you, but this is one thread I am not showing my wife.

    You've got a nice one!
  5. I usually t-rig them with an 1/8 oz. weight and 2/0 hook. Sometimes I use them on a split shot rig if the weeds aren't too thick.
  6. I like them both, but l lean a little more toward Brian Johnson.
  7. Nice looking bass, good job!
  8. You have some nice ones! I think you found them!
  9. Numbers have been good, but size has been off. I haven't been skunked this year, but I haven't had a lot of lunkers either.
  10. Lipless crankbaits, shallow running crankbaits, flukes, and jigs.
  11. Probably learning to fish and control the boat at the same time.
  12. I would say where I am, anything 4 lbs and up is a lunker. Some years are better than others, but on average I get one or two a year.
  13. Carp in a kayak? Did any of them take you for a ride?
  14. Largemouth first. Smallies or gills second depending on where I am fishing.
  15. So far this year it has been a buzzbait.
  16. When I have a day like that I turn on the fishfinder and start mapping the lake.
  17. On a regular basis I use 3 round baitcasters, 2 low profile baitcasters, 2 spinning reels. I have a few more in the drawer for safe keeping. I guess I have around 30 or so rods. I like to switch things around every now and then.
  18. I have a couple of the Original Cordell Big-O's that came out in the early 70's. I also have a Heddon Big Head which was a Big-O knock off, and a few River Runts. They stay at home in their own tackle box.
  19. What eveyone else has said. Also check Wal-mart. When the store near me changes its inventory, they sell what they have very cheap. A couple of years ago I picked up some 1/2 oz. Cordell Super Spots for $1 each.
  20. Sounds like he was running and gunning from spot to spot. I have been in this situation before, and when it happens I start using a spinnerbait.
  21. Probably 300 or so hard crankbaits.
