  1. Several of the lakes I fish have the size limit clearly marked at different places around the lake. I never fails that I will catch a dink, and someone will ask me "I'll take it if you are just going to throw it back".
  2. Kind of reminds me of a shotgun shell filled with rock salt.
  3. Great Idea!
  4. Christmas Vacation A Christmas Story Elf I remember seeing the first two at the show and about passed out from laughing so hard.
  5. When I'm out in a boat I bring the bag with everything in it. When I am fishing from the bank I carry a Plano box with me. The bag just weighs too much to lug around.
  6. First time I took my two daughters fishing. We didn't catch anything except weeds, but we had a good time.
  7. New tackle bag Some jerkbaits Couple of new frogs would be nice Maybe a new mh spinning rod I have to stop I'm getting all worked up.
  8. I was in the back of a small cove about 8 years ago. I was using a fluke around some grass, and the line started really moving toward the front of the cove. When I set the hook the fish didn't seem to notice and just kept heading out of the cove. The drag was working and the rod was bent when all of a sudden the fluke came flying out of the water. The line didn't break and the hook didn't bend. I guess I didn't have a good hookset. Sometimes when I am fishing that lake, and I go back into that cove I replay that hit over and over in my head.
  9. I will get worried about cabin fever when people start asking for assistance with grammar.
  10. Black Jitterbug worked over weed beds.
  11. I started deep cranking this past summer.
  12. Wow, I can't believe some of these responses. For me it has always been beetle spins. I buy a beetle spin bait about once a year. Now I have a ton of them. I think I have caught about 2 fish on them over the years.
  13. It depends on the noise. If I drop a weight I don't worry about it. If I keep hearing the same noise over and over then I get worried.
  14. One that I heard a lot growing up was that jigs only work in the winter.
  15. I want a new tackle bag, some new boxes to go into the bag, and of course some baits to go into the boxes. I'll be happy with some gift cards though.
  16. Glad to hear everything is going good.
  17. The Mitchell 300 spinning reel from 40 years ago.
  18. Wow, those pads are thick. As mentioned earlier, the bass will watch the bait move across the tops of the pads and follow it. I would look for holes where the pads are a little thinner and let the bait fall through to the water.
  19. I use different tackle bags for different species. It's much easier for me to keep track of what baits I have, and where they are located.
  20. Good going! A day to remember!
  21. Nice bass!
  22. That's why I like to go fishing when it gets cold outside. A lot of that type tend to stay home.
  23. $2.21 on the way to work this morning.
