This fall it was buzzbaits, and this winter it has been a chatterbait style lure.

Probably a 6'-6" MH casting rod with a fast bc reel. That extra speed is nice when you need it.

Started fishing with my Dad when Nixon was in office. I don't think I was a natural because I remember my Dad telling me not to wander off into the woods. Stopped fishing for a while when I was in college, then for about 10 years I would only go maybe once or twice a year. Then one day something just clicked and I started going whenever I could. I think it had something to do with the BPS opening up about 10 min from my house.

I'm not going into makes and models, but I like a 6'-6" or 7' Heavy with a fast tip. I like to fish right in the middle of weeds, and you never know when you are going to have to pull up a ton of weeds with the fish.

I have done it a few times with floating crankbaits while fishing from the bank. I think the line gets under something that the bait won't fit through. When you break the line the bait floats up to the surface.

It has always been the jig and pig for me.

A seat is just one more thing to carry. If I sit down it is to change a bait, or find something in the tackle box. Usually a stump or a rock around somewhere that I use.

6" BPS Stiko, Baby Brush Hog, Creature bait of some kind, or a plastic worm. In dark muddy water the colors I usually throw are, black with red flakes, green pumpkin, junebug, or purple.

Forgot that I also got some hip waders for stream fishing.

Fishing from the bank also allows you to sometimes get into a tight spot where a boat can't get to.

I fish as long as there is no ice. You can really tell a difference in the bite around mid-March. The bass start going after moving baits.

A couple of years ago the local bait store was getting rid of their old inventory. I picked up a new Revo-S for $50.

Either bluegill or crappie.

Big carp or big cat. There isn't anything like having the boat pulled around the lake.
