So far this year it has been a watermelon super fluke.

Sorry, this was on Saturday morning.

They were hitting on the top. I tried a frog and popper, but the bass didn't want those. I switched over to a shallow running crankbait, and then a spinnerbait. Using the spinnerbait I picked up a small one along a deep weed line. That was the only hit I had until about 10:00 AM when they woke back up. I put on the same shallow running crank that I had used earlier, and they really liked it the second time around. Pick up seven more bass in about 2-1/2 hours. I didn't catch anything of any size but I did good on numbers.

I don't feel that I am bad luck, but I have had days where the bad luck has stuck to me with glue.

I like summer a lot more than spring. At least in summer you have somewhat consistant weather.

I'll be 51 in July, but my wife says I act about 10 sometimes.

Last week they were coming up and hitting fast moving plastics. I got two on plastic worms while reeling them back in, and a third on a fast moving super fluke. The bass wouldn't touch crankbaits though.

This time of year I would use a jig w/ trailer, topwater, t-rigged bait, and have an ultra light set up handy.

Frog, fluke, or a light jig for working the top of the grass. If you're fishing from a boat you can try punching with a tube or senko.

I've had turtles and frogs go after plastics and topwaters, but it was a first when I saw a snake come out of the grass and go after my swim jig.

I don't think I have seen a shad that size in quite a while.

I would move somewhere warm. Snow and ice gets old in a hurry.

I think it's because everything today is geared toward getting more done faster. Some people just can't slow down.

Nope, but I have had to go back and edit a lot. I read it after I post it and think, that's not what I wanted to say.

I like braid for punching through mats, and in lilypads. For everything else its Mono or Fluoro.

I have bought CC baits at Wally world that were on sale, but never from the bargain bin. Those baits in the packages kind of look like redfins.
