  1. I let it sink to the bottom and slow roll it in.
  2. Shake the rod tip a little as you are reeling in the bait.
  3. Good Going!
  4. Congrats on that nice looking LM!
  5. Bug spray. Ticks are nasty.
  6. I have forgotten my license a couple of times. A few years back I headed out on the water and when I was getting things sorted in the boat I noticed, No food, No water. Luckily I didn't get skunked.
  7. When I am fishing from the bank in cover that thick I go weightless. Reason being, if you do manage to punch through and get a bass, you will be dragging back a ton of weeds along with the fish. Try using a super fluke if the GY baits keep falling apart, and pitch the bait into holes in the weeds and let it sink.
  8. Sounds like it might have been a combination of several factors. If it does it again I would have it checked out.
  9. I like 1 oz. weights with a plastic bait that is compact. I can usually punch straight through without any problem.
  10. WTG, sounds like a great trip!
  11. Good going! You have some nice smallies there!
  12. It depends on the area that I am fishing.
  13. Its hard to tell from the angle, but I would trim down the weed guard a little.
  14. That is great!
  15. Wow! Those are some nice ones!
  16. Cat will cruise shallow if they can't find anything on the bottom. We've used cut up bait on bobbers, rigged for about 3' and caught some nice ones.
  17. Jigs with craws, or jigs with chunks. I can't decide.
  18. Jig and craw.
  19. I think the color that I have my best luck on is called green tree. I've stopped using black. When I use that color it seems to draw every frog in the lake.
  20. At least you didn't get skunked.
  21. Good job! That's the way to turn things around!
  22. No, No. One of the reasons I go fishing is for relaxation.
  23. One more vote for location. Sometimes the DNR will report on the size of bass in certain lakes.
  24. Gills can save the day when the bass bite stops.
  25. I have the 6'6" MH casting rod. Been using it as my jig rod for the last four years. No complaints.
