  1. Junebug, black and red, blue, and black and blue. I have never had a lot of luck with natural colors when the water gets muddy.
  2. Earlier it was crankbaits and plastics around wood. Now it seems to be jigs and plastics in the weeds.
  3. What a monster! Great fish!
  4. Both are important. You can't use a reel without a rod, and without a reel, a rod is just a short crappie pole.
  5. You'll love jigs when you start catching on them! They are my #1 bass catcher.
  6. The only inline spinner bait I have ever had any luck on is a 1/8 ounce snow colored rooster tail with a white blade.
  7. Way to go, that is a nasty habit!
  8. Dang, you are a fast learner! Good Job!
  9. That is one of the reasons I hate when someone catches a fish, and another boat decides to cruise by close to check out the details of the catch.
  10. Could it be big turtles?
  11. That is a great attitude to have!
  12. Last week it was a jig and craw. I was dead sticking it, and then dragging it a little.
  13. A purple or grape colored worm. I have seen a lot of junebug and purple mixed with other colors, but I haven't seen a purple colored worm in quite some time.
  14. Good going, that is a healthy fish!
  15. I like to use a finesse jig when the pads are that thick. The jig doesn't sink into the tangle as fast.
  16. Great looking truck!
  17. I fish where there is a lot of vegetation. I like to use 15# for crankbaits so I can rip them free of the weeds.
  18. I have used Yo-Zuri Hybrid for about 9 or 10 years now, and never had any problems with it.
  19. That's called good quality time right there.
  20. Over the years I have seen several people fall in the water while setting the hook.
  21. Happens to me all the time. Just part of fishing. Enjoy being outside and be happy that you didn't get skunked.
  22. Memories being made right there. Way to go!
  23. I put everything down on an excel spreadsheet. That way I can go back and look at certain items whenever I need too. Trip number Date Day of week Start and stop times Lake or pond name Fished from a boat or not Weather Wind Temp Type of fish caught (if any) Amount of fish caught Largest fish caught Bait used Type of rig used (T-rig, C-rig, etc.) Color of bait Cover or structure fished General notes
