  1. I like it when it rains here. Fills the lakes back up.
  2. When I fish out of a jon boat I just use an anchor to hold the boat in place.
  3. I trim the guard back, but I don't remove it completely. I cut the guard back just enough so that when you hold it down, it clears the hook tip.
  4. I put my battery on the charger Thursday afternoon. I leave it on until Saturday when I head out to the water. Well for some reason I decided to look at it Friday morning on the way to work. The needle on the charger hadn't moved at all. After I got home Friday afternoon I hooked up another charger to the battery to see what happens. Nothing happened, the charger was telling me that the battery was bad. I hooked up the charger to the car to make sure it wasn't the charger going bad, and everything was green to go. So Saturday I ended up walking the bank for about 5 hours. Picked up 5 small dinks in that time and missed a couple of others. I'm thankful that I didn't load up the boat, shove off and then have to row right back in again.
  5. Nice going! Baby brush hogs are one of my favorites.
  6. There's nothing like a tap tap tap, or when the line starts to jump around.
  7. I like to fish clear lakes when there is a little wind blowing. The chop on the water it causes tends to hide you from the fish a little more.
  8. Around St. Louis I have had pretty good luck with flukes, and shallow running crankbaits.
  9. Worms under a bobber, or if he wants to try casting you might try a small rooster tail spinnerbait.
  10. 3/0 extra wide gap.
  11. I am so jealous of you right now.
  12. Good going! Some nice bass right there.
  13. Nice Bass, Good Job!
  14. Engish, but I know a little German and Spanish.
  15. Nasty! I'll be thinking about that tonight in the dark.......
  16. Mine was a Daiwa Millionaire 5HS that I got back Feb. of 1978. Bought it from a sporting goods store was having a going out of business sale. We drove through a snow storm to get to the place.
  17. I don't have a favorite. I like them all.
  18. I use chrome w/ a blue back in sunny or partly sunny conditions. Chrome seems to catch fish when nothing else will.
  19. You have got some nice old baits right there.
  20. Great video, thanks for posting it.
  21. I have seen this fishing around islands before. The bass will hang in the still water on the backside of the island and go after a bait as it is pulled from the current into the still water.
  22. I will put on a similar looking bait and keep on fishing.
