  1. Try slowing down the retreive, or dead sticking the bait.
  2. Usually on Saturday or Sunday. I'll spend anywhere from 6 to 10 hours on the water depending on how the bite is doing.
  3. Nice Bass Speedbead!
  4. I would.throw a finesse jig. 1/8 or 1/4 ounce.
  5. That is great! Congrats!
  6. I have a micro lite rod for panfish, a bionic blade that I use for crankbaits and spinnerbaits, and a pistol grip tourney special that I haven't used in years. Plenty of backbone, and they hold up great.
  7. I used P-line fluoro last year and never had any problems with it. Except for being more stiff, I didn't really notice a difference from using mono.
  8. Another vote here for the white inline spinner. That bait has kept me from getting skunked many a times.
  9. There is really nothing in the pic to use to size the fish against.
  10. That bass it a hawg, nice catch!
  11. Good going! I probably need to fish more with spinnerbaits.
  12. Nothing paranormal, but there is an old family cemetery about 30 feet up the dam on one of the small lakes that I fish.
  13. Wow. At least it didn't happen to your gas motor.
  14. Original jitterbug, and a spinnerbait is about all I ever use at night anymore.
  15. The sunnies will grab the bait, run for a couple of feet and then drop the bait.
  16. I use one, but I turn it off unless I need to see my bait, retie, or get a fish off. I also carry a spot light just in case.
  17. For the past couple of years I have been wearing a wide brim straw hat.
  18. While fishing for bass, I have caught panfish, muskie, and an occasional turtle on rat-l-traps.
  19. 1/4 ounce rat-l-trap in natural craw usually works great around here in the fall and in the spring.
  20. I can't wait to get out on the water and put the week's stress behind me.
  21. Start with the basics. Are the hooks sharp?
  22. For shallow water you can't beat a Mann's 1 minus.
