I have a Rapala digital scale. In this cold weather I take it out of the tackle bag and put it in my coat pocket. It seems to work better when its warmer.
  2. I throw the BPS version a lot. It doesn't tear up pulling through thick cover, and I don't need a weight to cast it out far into clear water.
  3. Wow, looks like you guys had a great day, WTG!
  4. And how does the tea house get their supplies?
  5. Any one have any wind chills?
  6. Right now it is -3 degrees. Yesterday it was -7 degrees, but it warmed all the way up to +2 degrees.
  7. I have a couple of reels that are 40 years old at least. I used them when I was a kid just learning how to fish. I put them away when one broke and the replacement part had to be specially made. The oldest rod I have is an old Daiwa Procaster rod bought sometime back in the 80's. That is my punching rod. The thing could hold an elephant and not break.
  8. Read the forums and reviews before you decide on a model. It will save a lot of headaches and $$$ later on.
  9. Zoom speed craw and ultravibe speed craw.
  10. Nope, and I don't plan to.

I have the BPS Extreme Qualifier 370. I do not install the dividers in the boxes except for boxes with jigs, terminal tackle, or crankbaits. What I do with plastics is take the bag and roll it up. The 370 box is deep enough to fit the entire bag in the box. I can get between 8 and 10 bags in one box depending on the bait.
  12. Spro bronze eye in green. I have thrown black a couple of times, but the only thing that ever goes after that color are frogs.
  13. If I'm a co-angler, the first thing I do is find out how the person with the boat is fishing. If he is booming and zooming with crankbaits, then I don't want to be fishing a plastic slow on the bottom. I usually take a BPS 370 bag, three bc rigs, and a spinning rig.
  14. I like to work the 3/8 size over the top of submerged vegetation. I doesn't sink and get tangled up. I jump it across the weeds just like fishing it on the bottom.
  15. You have some nice catches there.
  16. Nice looking bass! Good going!

You've got a nice one there!
  18. Hope everything goes.ok for you.
  19. RIP Phil.
  20. Nothing I like better than dropping an anchor while floating over a creek bed. I like to work the bait right along the bottom and either follow the creek bed or pull the bait down into it from the side.
  21. I retie the hook to the line if the knot and line start getting some nicks in them. I use the same hook unless it gets bent from snagging it on something. If your hooks are getting dull you can pick up a hook sharpening file from BPS. I keep one of those in my tackle bag.
  22. Try throwing a crankbait. Give the reel a few cranks and stop. Sometimes a bass will hit the bait as it starts to float up to the surface.
  23. When I match the hatch, I shoot more for color than size. One of the lakes I fish has a good assortment of shad, crawfish, and perch. Those are the colors I start out with.
