  1. Nice going! I wish I could get out.
  2. Those bass could swallow the ones I catch in one bite!
  3. Sometimes it gets cold enough so that you almost have to hit the bass right in the head to get a bite.
  4. His adventures kind of remind me of a few fishing trips that I have had.
  5. At least you won't be disappointed this year.
  6. Heddon Sonic, I had forgotten about that one. We use to catch a ton of fish on the red/white when I was a kid.
  7. Brand is any and all. Color is white, chart/white, bluegill, and black. I prefer double blades, but I don't like gold or nickel. I will buy blades that match the color of the skirt or paint my own. Willow leaf blades in weeds, and grass. Colorado blades everywhere else. Weight is anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 depending on the depth of where I am fishing.
  8. Just the usual, mussel shells, rocks, and an occasional crawfish.
  9. We got about an inch of snow last night, but they are really getting hammered south of us.
  10. I would find out what the child feels comfortable with first. I have seen some kids around 10 or so that can handle a baitcaster like a pro, and others that are intimidated by a snoopy rig.
  11. Go with the red and black, you will be easier to spot.
  12. Nice bass, and cool pics.
  13. Good job and a nice looking fish!
  14. Probably wouldn't bother me too bad. Most of the time I use jigs anyway.
  15. We had some freezing rain during the morning rush, but it didn't last long. It's not doing anyrhing now but the sky looks like it could start coming down any second.
  16. I have had a couple of Rapala digital scales over the years. Never had an issue with them reading wrong.
  17. In muddy water you can't beat it.
  18. Wow, that is one tricked out canoe! Nice bass too.
  19. Several years ago I cast out a spinnerbait and it got away from me. Hooked a tree limb that a hornet nest was built on. Luckily after I pulled it a couple of times the spinnerbait fell back into the water. Hornets were a little ticked off, but no one was stung.
  20. Sorry to hear that. Hope your family is doing ok.
  21. I have had my last three towers built by computer shops. You get quality parts, you can customize however you want, and you don't get all of that pre-loaded garbage on the harddrive. If I am traveling I just use my smartphone.
  22. Great to hear from you!!
  23. There is no way I would go out in the ocean in a yak. Too many possible ways to get injured or worse.
