  1. Just shoveled out my driveway this morning. Enough snow for a shovel, but not enough for a blower.

Well at least the squirrel and rabbits are ok.
  3. Wasn't aliens. Bigfoot was just fooling around.
  4. I don't replace the hooks unless they get damaged or bent. I do add split rings every once in a while, and I always sharpen the hooks.
  5. I still have a bunch of them in a tackle box I use for storage. Once in a great while I will take them out and get them wet. My favorite color is the purple/chrome one.
  6. I still work on my pitching in the backyard, but out on the water I still catch myself casting side arm under tree limbs.
  7. I stick to natural colors, black, and blue/black. I don't go overboard on sizes either. The sizes I use most are 1/8, 3/8, and 1/2 ounce. Normally I start off with a blue/black 3/8 ounce and go from there.
  8. First one that comes to mind was the first time I broke the 5 lb mark. Everyone was catching dinks on spinnerbaits. I was using a Senko knockoff and not getting any bites. I cast over by a weed bed and felt a tap tap. I set the hook on what I thought was a dink. Turned out to be a 5 lb 4 oz LM.
  9. Congrats! Spinnerbaits can be used anywhere and anytime.
  10. Never hurfs to keep a blanket in the car just in case.
  11. Around here the colors I like are fire tiger, smokey joe, pearl, and crawfish. I like black in muddy water.
  12. I used a black jig with a sapphire trailer a lot this year. I started off with a black/blue jig with a matching trailer and if I didn't get any bites I would switch to a black jig and sapphire trailer. Same colors but in a different arrangement.
  13. Way to catch in December!!
  14. I like to find lakes with a lot of grass and weeds in it. They will help hide you. Make very long casts, or punch through the weeds to get the bait on the bottom. If you can go night fishing, a jitterbug can't be beat.
  15. Strip the line off my reels Clean and lube reels Take reels in for maintenance if needed. Decide which type of line to use. Sharpen hooks on baits. Clean out tackle bag. Buy new fishing license. Stock up on plastics that I'm low on.
  16. A 4lb 6oz LM that I got in the weeds using a jig and craw.
  17. I like deep / wide spools. You don't have to worry about running out of line, and you don't need to carry line with you.
  18. Merry Christmas, Everyone!
  19. I like to wash out old medicine pill bottles and keep my small tackle in them. Then I just keep the pill bottles in the tackle box. If the bottle is dark then I mark on it with a sharpie.
  20. It pegged me dead on in St. Louis, but it also called out Baltimore.
  21. A sweatshirt to wear fishing, and a couple of BPS giftcards, from the wife and kids.
  22. Cool, a bbq on wheels!
  23. Hope the boat ramp isn't iced up.
  24. Wow!! Some nice ones there!
