  1. Weightless flukes, and jigs.
  2. I do most of my black friday shopping online now. I went to BPS one year and I still have nightmares about it.
  3. If I caught the same bass I never noticed it. Good job!
  4. Nice looking bass!
  5. I have seen that happen to fishing line, but never the reel. You might try taking the reel apart and applying small amounts of Goop to it. That stuff pretty much takes off anything.
  6. Jigs - 6'6" mh fast casting rod T-rig - 6'6" h fast casting rod Cranks and spinnerbaits - 6'6" mh moderate casting rod Weightless plastics / shakey head - 6'6" m fast spinning rod Drop shot / ultra light - 7'0" ml fast spinning rod
  7. We do the usual. I play with the kids, and my wife cooks the bird.
  8. Having to hike around a lake while carrying a tackle bag. Climbing over fallen trees, and across gulleys. I'd call it a sport.
  9. During the summer I try to get out before sun up. This time of year I usually make it out around mid morning.
  10. My favorites are flukes, tubes, and baby brush hogs. I tend to stay away from the larger plastic worms. Sometimes the tail will wrap around something when you pitch it.
  11. I don't service my reels all at the same time. I don't want to have all of my reels out if the temp warms up enough to go fishing.
  12. Congrats! That muskie is a monster!
  13. Over the past few years, creature baits have caught more than plastics worms have. I always have some in my tackle bag.
  14. Around here the colors that work are, black, black/blue, orange/brown, and watermelon. This time of year I worry about the presentation more than the color.
  15. I have had a president for two years and love it.
  16. Improved clinch knot for crankbaits, and palomar knot for everything else.
  17. I have some old pork chunks that I use, but when they are gone I am not going to buy new. Plastics are a lot easier to handle.
  18. It was the diapers that got me too. I told my wife to buy whatever the babies needed, but I don't want to know about it.
  19. Aren't there programs that figure this type of thing?
  20. Did you remember the trailer hitch?
  21. I organize the jigs by weight and color. The plastics I organize by type, deep diver, top water, shallow runner, etc. I also make sure that the boxes are labeled clearly, and each bait is in its correct box. Yes I am a little anal.
  22. A 3/4 mag trap over the top of grass. I work it like a jig. Just keep it going fast enough to skim the top of the grass without getting snagged.
  23. Years ago I was taking a break from bass fishing and going after cat with some cut up bait. I had one take the bait and start to swim off back into the deep water. That fish spooled my reel, but it never ran, or fought like it was hooked. I'm not even sure that the fish knew that it was hooked.
  24. I prefer sun, I let the bass tell me what they want.
