A purple worm was the first color I remember fishing with, and it is still one of my confidence baits.

I have had good luck with a 3/8 jig pulled across the top of the pad like in #2 above. It is heavy enough to go to the bottom, but light enough to stay on top of the lily pad.

Probably my Dad. He use to take me out when I was about 6, or 7. I was never interested until I caught my first channel cat on a cane-pole at a pay lake. Then I was hooked.

Try checking on ebay, or at local garage sales. Sometimes people are getting rid of a gold mine and they don't even know it.

I can't stand the way they edit out all the fishing mishaps and problems that occur while fishing. They make everything look like all you have to do is drop your bait in the water and you will catch fish. Just once I would like to see someone hang up or have a reel break on them.

I've had bullfrogs go after a black Spro frog before. They came charging right out of the weeds after that bait. I switched to a green tree color, and the frogs left the Spro alone.

We lived in an apartment for 5 years after we were married. All I can say is take pictures of the place before you move into it so that you have proof of existing problems. If you don't the owner may try to stick you with the bill when you move out.

I use them all the time. I like the 6" size. When I need them smaller I just cut them in half and square off the tail.

Once the sun gets too hot for my cap, I put on a wide brim straw hat. It lets the air through and is really keeps your head cool.

Rat-l-traps, and super spots. Those are about the only ones that I ever use.
