At several of the lakes I fish there are stories about fishermen finding dead people in the water.

Actually I think the sunscreen smell works pretty well as a fish scent.

Shakey heads and drop shots for me. I have used them before, but this year I have gotten serious about them.

I will use the hooks that come on the bait. I sharpen them before I go out on the water with a small hook file. If I am pulling through weeds and bouncing off wood I will give those hooks a quick hit with the file while I'm out on the water.

I have never had any problem with a regular palomar.

I have some small lakes like that near my house. One lake will be hot and you won't get a bite in the other. When you realize you're at the wrong lake it is time to leave.

It was probably aggressive because of the worms. An injured animal is much more dangerous than a healthy one.

I have an excel spread sheet on the home computer. I use the voice recorder on the phone to make a note of all that stuff you listed above. When I get home I just fill in the blanks on the spreadsheet.

I would fish the areas where the water flows from one pond to the next.

Since it is a scaled down c-rig, I fish it the same way. Just a lot slower.
