Some of the lakes and ponds around my town have very heavy fishing pressure on them. A leader is needed or you won't get any bites.

I have never seen a jig that is 100% weedless. Usually if you take the slack up in your line and give the jig a quick snap it will shake most of weeds off of it.

Slow down and look around. I don't mean fishing, I mean in the boat. You might be passing a small cove or piece of structure that is holding some hawgs, and not even know it.

I wouldn't call it brand loyalty. I use the baits because I like them. If a Co. stops making a certain bait, or changes a bait, I will start using baits from another Co.

For the money, you can't beat a president.

Usually I use a Zoom super chunk, or salty chunk. There are times when I will put the back half of a ribbon tail worm on.

I that type of water I mainly fish darker colors like black, black/blue, black/red, Junebug, and green pumpkin.

Try talking to them.

I haven't done that yet, but I have done other things just as bad.

Not cold here, but we did have a front move through about noon.

I never use rattles. If I buy a jig with rattles I may use it for a while and then remove the rattles. Where I fish I don't think it makes that much difference.

I voted abu. I have more of them than any other type of bc.

My wife won't eat anything straight out of a garden. She believes it needs to be processed. My daughter refuses to eat any fruits or veggies from the supermarket. She will only eat stuff from the local farmer's market. I can't win.

Went out to a small local lake yesterday. It was the first time that I had fished this lake all year. I should have know something was wrong because there was only one other boat on the water all morning. I only had three hits on a senko knock off, but they wouldn't take it. When the holiday crowd started to show up I called it a day. I'm hoping next week is better.

Sometimes that isn't even enough. A few years back a friend of mine, fishing off the bank at a local lake, had his tackle bag stolen when he went down a hill to fish where a creek emptied into the lake.
