  1. Good looking bass, they look healthy.
  2. Nice looking bass!
  3. Another vote for the black jitterbug. I also like a black spinner or a black jig. I usually use a head lamp for lighting.
  4. Once you get the hang of a bc, that will become your main rig.

Once or twice if it is producing. I will throw it as long as the bass want it.
  6. I would've been so pumped up I would'nt have been able to sit down for a couple of hours!
  7. I wouldn't throw a spinnerbait for muskie. Muskie and pike have been known to bite the skirt off of them. Around here the muskie like rat-l-traps, but they should hit anything a bass will.
  8. I like cut bait, shad guts, or minnows threaded on like a night crawler.
  9. I like lists so I try to get as detailed as possible. Trip # Date Day of week Lake or arm I was fishing on If I was fishing out of a boat or not weather conditions type of fish caugh amount of fish weight of the largest bait color, and size cover or structure I also like to put down when I did maint. or my reels and what size line I put on.
  10. Same thing is going on around here. The bass are on their beds and the only way they're biting is if you drop the bait right on top of them.
  11. catfish, bluegill, sunfish, warmouth, carp, and muskie. No gar or walleye yet.
  12. I always have a jig tied on, but there are times when cranks or other soft plastics work better.
  13. Last year when we had a stretch of 100 degree plus days you either had to go down deep, or fish at night.
  14. One new spinnerbait. One bag of Zoom jig trailers. 14 jigs. I should be good for a little while now.
  15. I feel for you. I had that happen a couple of years ago when I didn't give myself enough slack in the line. Luckily the rod I broke wasn't very expensive.
  16. It's the one time when I'm outside that I have to myself. No wife, no kids, no work.
  17. I chose the big ones. I catch enough dinks already.
  18. Went out off the bank Friday and caught 6 on a spinnerbait, and one on a plastic. The wind was out of the south, light to moderate rain, and the air temp was around 55. The largest was 1-9 lb. They were stacked up in the shallow water around timber, and bushes growing around the bank. Didn't get any pics because of the rain.
  19. You'll be able to tell. If the line looks like it just has came up off of the spool a little then that's not too bad. If you have kinks and knots, that another issue.
  20. Nice looking smallies, good job!
