  1. I like jitterbugs in the early morning, or at night. Buzzbaits in the early evening, and frogs in the slop.
  2. It could be that your presentation is off a little when you use the plastics and jigs. Jigs, and plastics, in black or black / red is the first color I try in murky water.
  3. I usually always fish mine t-rigged.
  4. See if you can find some sort of drop off. Look for something steep where the water goes from shallow to deep pretty fast. A lot of times they will move vertical in the water to avoid using a lot of energy.
  5. Nice looking smallies!
  6. You've got some nice fish there, congrats!
  7. That right there is something to tell your grand kids about.
  8. My only time to go is on the weekends. So regardless of the weather I am out fishing.
  9. I like to throw smaller size baits, like super hogs, and finesse worms around dense cover like a fallen tree or heavy slop. IMO, the smaller size of the bait lets me work it through the cover without hanging up. I throw the 10" - 12' worms and big bulky plastics around bottom structure, like creek beds, or deep holes.
  10. That's great! May she have many many more years.
  11. Never tazed, but I took a small electric shock one time as a training exercise. I had to put both hands on electrodes to complete a circuit. Both arms went numb and I felt like someone had hit me in the chest with a sledgehammer. All the fun of being shocked and a heart attack rolled into one.
  12. Nice looking bass!
  13. I usually have four rigs when I go out. Jig, weightless senko / fluke, spinnerbait, and a small plastic like a baby brush hog. I can usually find them with one of those set ups.
  14. It is always a good idea to contact the Conservation Dept. and let them know what is going on. After enough complaints they will check it out. A couple of years ago they set a check point to physically check your creel limit. That being said around my neck of the woods you don't see a lot of bass being taken home for dinner. It's mostly crappie and catfish.
  15. Around here the bass are starting to move about 1PM. You can catch them earlier, but you have to work at it.
  16. Nice looking bass. Good job!
  17. I have a pond like that. I use to hit it 3x or 4x a year with nothing to show for it. Two years ago everything came together and I got my PB for the year out of that pond. Now that I have it figured out, it rarely skunks me.
  18. Get well quick and make sure do don't hurt it worse.
  19. WTG! You done good.
  20. Congrats! Be grateful that she likes to fish.
  21. Nice looking bass. Good job
