  1. Holy Cow! What was he using for bait, a muskie?
  2. I wouldn't accuse anyone of lying either. Most likely your paperwork got put in the wrong stack, and whoever did it assumed that it was already taken care of.
  3. Depending on the time of year, a jig with either a craw trailer or a pork chunk.
  4. Mann's 1 minus in the 3/8 and 1/4 size.
  5. Congrats on those two nice looking bass.
  6. Kind of looks like a channel cat to me.
  7. Abu 5600C3, Curado E7, and an Abu Revo-s.
  8. I have weighed fish for people with my scale, and then they have told me that it must be broken. They know their fish is bigger than what my scale says.
  9. Oh man. This is the first I have heard of this. R.I.P Doug.
  10. Went out for about 6 hours on Saturday. I don't know if it was the approaching front or what, but the bass shut down from what they were doing on Thursday and Friday. I was fishing from shore and my only bite was on a fluke. The fish felt pretty good, but came off in the weeds. One of the guys I was fishing with eventually got one about 3 lbs later in the day.
  11. For the short strike you can add trailer hooks.
  12. My orthopedic surgeon would love for me to do some of those
  13. I'm LOL right now. Good one.
  14. Check out some mom and pop tackle shops. Every once in a while you can get some great deals.
  15. I like snaps when using cranks. You can change baits fast and the line doesn't get tangled in the treble hooks.
  16. Sounds like you had a good trip, thanks for the pics.
  17. The basic daily limit here in Mo. posted by the conservation dept. is 5 black bass over 12", but the this may be different depending on where you fish. Where I fish the limit is 2 black bass, and the length depends on where you catch them. Some ponds have a 18" limit and some have a slot limit.
  18. That fish looks healthy. Good job.
  19. I think asking about a bait is ok. What gets me is when you are fishing from the bank and somebody comes over and stands right next to you, or pulls along side when you're in a boat, just to see what you are using.
  20. Sounds like you had a good time.
  21. Good Luck. Take it easy and get well.
