  1. IMO, it depends on the child. I've seen some 5 y.o. kids that I wouldn't trust to tie their own shoes. Your child sounds like he is eager to learn how to use a gun the correct way. I say go for it.
  2. I have had T-mobile since 2007 with no problems. I have relatives with At&t, and they have over run charges all the time, but I don't know what kind of contract they have.
  3. My kid's fiskars scissors.
  4. I usually snag them and break them off before they wear out and break.
  5. T-rigged with a 1/16 ounce bullet weight.
  6. Typical spring weather around here. In the 50's and 60's during the week and the thunderstorms and cold front move in on Friday afternoon.
  7. Geez, I need to fish more. Caught 16 dinks last year in about 6 hours of fishing.
  8. Jig hands down.
  9. The wind blows small pieces of food to the bank. The small fish will be feeding. The larger fish feed on the small fish. I usually cast into the wind to make the bait seem like it is following the wind when I retrieve.
  10. That's great! Looks like you both had a good time.
  11. Holy Cow! That is one big bass.
  12. If I catch a bass in the weeds, or in timber, I tend to fish that area thoroughly just to see if there are more or if the one I caught was by itself. If I don't get anymore bites then I move on. If I keep catching then I start putting a patten together.
  13. Around here if they are on their beds they will go after just about anything that moves near them.
  14. I usually use a 1/16 white rooster tail, or a very small crankbait.
  15. I'm glad I wasn't the only one that thought about math.
  16. I have a 3700 box that I organize by rows and columns. Going across the box each row has the same weight in it. Going down each column is organized by color. Heaviest jigs in the back and the lightest jigs up front near the latches. So one row may be all 1/2 ounce, while the column may be all black/blue.
  17. I have used bitsy bugs, and flips for years without any problems. They are cheap enough so that I don't kick myself when I lose one.
  18. I had the same problem when I started fishing plastics after throwing crankbaits for years. When I started fishing Tx. rigs with a spinning reel I forced myself to take up the slack by winding in with my index finger. If I went to fast my finger came off the handle.
  19. You might try the ones that Cabela's sells. I bought mine back in 2008 and they are still going strong. They took a while to break in, but I have not had any issues with them.
  20. Prayers sent.
  21. Over the years I have probably pulled dozens off that were dug in. Never had an issue. I usually wear shorts so I can feel they crawl up my legs, but those little seed ticks are a real problem around here.
  22. Like that Blue craw, and Bama bug!
  23. I have the transition lenses that turn dark in the sun. They are ok until the lenses get dirty, then they stop turning dark until you clean them.
  24. I would try a shallow runner, or a waker. A lipless bait might work if you can keep it up out of the weeds.
  25. Sounds like you had one of those days that I dream about. Good Job!
