  1. Welcome Aboard! I use to take my old coon hound fishing with me when I went from the bank. I have never had a dog in the boat though.

I like the sub-warts and the original wiggle-warts. They both have very good action.
  3. I fish all of my plastics with the hook skinned.
  4. I like the straight tail worms. The dinks like to bite the tails off of the curly tail worms.
  5. An old Rebel Deep-R down at Lake of the Ozarks.
  6. I'm needing some more Minus 1's and some Sub-warts. I've got one shallow running crankbaits that the bass like and I'm afraid if I lose it I won't be able to find the same color scheme again.
  7. I'm going to agree with the majority. If your reels are working properly and you have a reel for each type of bait you want to fish with, then get the rod.
  8. Welcome aboard. Another idea is to check the history of the river you were fishing in to see if big bass have been taken out of there in the past.
  9. For the money you can't beat the BPS rods. As for the reels, I use Abu-Garcia now.
  10. I will only thread a chunk if I think the trailer will not get torn up. I read a post somewhere that said threading gets the bulk of the chunk close to the jig head and makes the bait look a little more realistic.
  11. I hardly ever wear one mainly because the lakes I fish are so shallow I could walk out of them.
  12. I used Trilene XL earlier this year and hated it. I'm going back to Yo-Zuri.
  13. We received a e-mail at work saying not to upgrade to IE-7. It seems some of the older programs do not work well with it.
  14. I usually use 1/4 ounce with a big bulky trailer like a Zoom large salty chunk or a Zoom super chunk. If they are not hitting it, I'll try putting on a smaller trailer or trimming down the existing one.
  15. I picked Zoom just because that is all I ever use.
  16. I had good luck in clear water with Zoom tubes in pumpkin color. I have had very good luck with the chart. crawfish color this year around weedy and mossy cover.
  17. A 1/4 ounce or 3/8 ounce black-blue jig.
  18. I remember then they used to say that about jigs.
  19. I fish it with a steady retreive and like a jerkbait. Both ways work, I just let the fish tell me what they want.
  20. A minus 1 for shallow water and a 1/2 ounce rat-l-trap in natural craw or chart. shiner colors.

With lures I try and stick to what looks like a natural pattern.
  22. I think they will hit just about anything a bass will.
  23. I cast right handed w/ a right retreive reel. Never really gave it much thought before, I just went out and did it.
  24. IMHO, I think that they air pressure effects them more than the temp. When its cold and you can get a pattern on the LM you can still catch them.
