Best way to fish a tube?
My most certain and consistent hook-ups with a tube have come from a hook point exposed rigging. Most of the retrieves listed above have been effective. oe

Jerkbait question
In the right places a slow steadily retrieved jerkbait can bring some nice sized walleye to hand... oe

I've lost confidence in feeling the bite
This is often the problem... Both Brewer's slider fishing and Kehde's Ned rig fishing are about the technique, not the tackle. oe

Question about swim jig weed guards.
Even though the guards are often fewer and softer, I occasionally cut 1/3 of them off. When fishing swim jigs over coverless structure I cut the guards completely off. oe

Gear ratio on spinning reel
For most of my fishing I use the 6:?:1 ratio, however, I want a 5.?:1 spinning reel hanging from the rod I use for very lightly weighted plastics and hair. oe

New for 22
hmmm... thought I'd find some small duo-lock snaps and put them to use on my hard bait rod (jerk baits, top water, lipless cranks, ect.). oe Will you be fishing fewer jig worms, aka. Ned rigs? oe

Straighting a hook
Bronze hooks can open somewhat easily both pulling free of snags and fighting large fish such as musky, catfish, carp, ect. I purposely open them very slightly when kirbing the point. I can't remember losing a bass due to a bronze hook opening though. oe

Who's "dual lock" snaps do you use?
Thought I'd add some "dual lock" snaps to an online order... seems there are at least a dozen brands to choose from. Which brand "dual lock" "duo lock" snaps do you prefer and what size(s) do you use? (If you didn't notice, I'm only interested in the traditional "dual lock/ duo lock" variety.) oe

My opinion... line diameter has a greater affect on visibility than color of line. oe

Shallow-running/Suspending Lipless Crankbait
Cut the leading hook off the front treble... and keep the rod tip high as Cgolf suggests above. oe

Berkley FireLine
Think of it as braid. I didn't like it on baitcasting reels... I have used the original Fireline on my spinning reels since the mid '90s. oe

Quality Pliers
not used as a lubricant, but to break up any developing rust and clean "gunk" from the hinge.
-
Quality Pliers
...but easy. Using it a couple times each season does work. oe

Quality Pliers
If rusty pliers are a problem, introduce yourself to a jar of Naval Jelly. A couple times each season spray your pliers' joint with WD40. oe

The Mind of a Bass
The "brain" of a bass is the size of a pea. In my opinion, a bass doesn't have a "mind". oe
